Fantastic square

never a dull moment. Just go there and see what is happening! You can eat at the small stalls. People might be pushing, but if you react friendly they also will be friendly to you!

like nothing you've ever seen before. The square is a throwback in time, monkeys jump on our shoulder, men charming pythons. not for those who dont like crowds. I imagine the square has not changed much in hundreds of years

Square was squalid, and we did not like being hassled to have photo taken with snakes and monkeys.the indoor market at the back is good to see and buy items.,

Do not miss this in marrakech, every stall is just as good. From snails, orange juices, tajines, fish/calamari and chips, lamb heads, patisseries...you just name it....Tried almost everything and yet it costs less than 200 dirham for 2 persons!

At nigh, just enjoy the theatre.Dress down, dont be reeled in to eat if you dont want to.Dont go if Morocco is playing a football match anywhere in the world!During the day, not much happens, unless you enjoy watching snakes being charmed.

I loved this place - it was chaos, in a good way! Just relax and have fun with the experience. The vast majority of the people are so friendly and fun to talk to. It is a shoppers paradise and bartering was a lot of fun. The culture is very different from my own, but I ended up just falling... More

Definitely go there at night and go up to the roof top terrace across the square. You have a beautiful view and you can take lots of pictures.

Everyone comes here anyway so a review is a bit pointless, but by day or by night this is a lively fascinating place, from the snake charmers, to the man who makes false teeth at a little table in the middle of the square (no, really), to the stalls selling freshly squeezed orange juice, and of course the evening barbecue... We liked the bustle and sheer bedlam of this square, with its street entertainers including drummers, snake charmers, hawkers and all manner of characters. Plenty of eating places in the evening but watch the hygiene.

A disappointing tourist trap with little character, though we did visit during the day. Restaurant unappealing.
