Crazy, loud and a lot of fun

Terrific place to spend an afternoon people watching and shopping. Remember to have fun and that it's OK to say no, which can be difficult sometimes.

you just always feel drawn to what's happening there. we were in marrakech several times, but also this time on the last day, the kids just needed to go to La Grande Place.

Brilliant for experiencing true morroco. The souks, the food and the buzzing atmosphere.

This place is incredible. Fascinating and frightening at the same time. There must be hundreds of hustlers, thiefs, con mans in and around this place. If you are visiting Morocco or any other underdevelopped country the first time, you will soon learn that these relatively poor people is after your money and they try to cheat and trick you in... Everyone knows the medina's a crazy place, but I don't think anything can prepare you for this! The diversity of smells, colours and things to see is incredible and you're never bored. I would say, however, that the way animals are treated in the medina is horrible - beware of the monkeys on chains. This really upset me.... I would... More

Loud, brash, entertainers, food, horses, mopeds, taxis, street vendors, smells, sounds, and the chance to look over it all from one of the many terrace cafes. The heart of Marrakech, and a great place to while away hours watching the world, or wandering off into the souks.

This is what most travelers must come to Marrakech to see. Experiencing it during the day was quite the experience, but going back at dusk into the early evening was mesmerizing! Just keep your wits about you, your personal property out of anyone's reach and look around 360 degrees for an experience you won't forget! Yes...snake charmers (cobras), monkeys on... More

You can't miss this place, but beware of people trying to help you, "hi remember me, I work at the hotel and I can help you." Agree to a price for pictures of snake charmers before taking pictures. Don't fall into the trap of "pay what you like"
