beautifull palace

As a museum it is nothing special, but the palace is really beautifull. Certainly worth a visit.

One of the most awful museums I've vistited. Awful exhibition program and not even worth visiting for the building, which is suffering from a recent "restoration". I don't know how anybody can call this a museum.

While there are some microenvironments that escape, most of this structure is impossible to photograph because the walls are covered with the "art" for sale. When I was there, all modern art, and not particularly well done. Definitely detracts from the beauty of the building.

Marrakech has lots of different museums and old palaces to see, but I like this one the finest. This museum is also set up to the old palace, so visiting here is like killing two birds with one stone. The most impressive part is the big hall including the enormous chandelier and stunning mosaics.

The zellij in the museum is absolutely gorgeous and so worth the price of admission. There isn't a ton to see historical-wise within the museum, especially since all the descriptions are in French or Arabic. So in that respect, not too informative, but the sheer beauty is so worth it. Buy the combined ticket for all 3 sights and take... More

Marrakech doesn't have much in terms of museums and sights to see if you're not Muslim. This was a bit disappointing on our first trip. However, the Musee is a really nice museum. I really enjoyed seeing the GIANT chandelier from Fez- gorgeous. It also had some really great art by local artists in the cafe area... although it was... More

It took us soo long to find this museum as we had been given the wrong directions and when we did get to the musuem it wasnt impressive at all! Just a few old stuff dumped into the displays of the museum. If youve been to any of the museums in London, even the smallest one there is, you'll find... More

Took us a bit of time to find this from the souqs, but glad we did. The musee is a restored 19th century riad and has stunning examples of zellij tile work. The musee houses art displays, which you can buy, as well as historic artefacts from Marrakech's history. The centrepiece is the huge covered courtyard, which has traditional wroght... More
