In contrast to the interesting and well laid out displays at the Berber Museum in Majorelle Gardens this Museum was really very poor ( and hard to find). Very few of the displays had an English translation, the display cabinets were very sad with a backdrop of old, tattered, very discoloured material held up at the back of the display... More

Only visited here because we had a joint ticket, took us ten minutes to explore. Some great lights and tiling, however no explanations in English and we only knew that it had originally been a riad because of the information provided by our guide.

To us this was a waste of time, total rubbish. You can walk round it in 5mins. It took us two days to finally find it. We thought we would of least been in there for half a day. Very disappointing.

The entrance kiosk offers a joint ticket for the museum and the neighbouring Ben Youssef Madrasa. The extra cost is minimal, and the madrasa is more spectacular than the museum, so the joint ticket is good value. The outstanding feature of the museum is the large main hall, with its lovely tiling and impressive canopy.

We bought a joint ticket that covered the museum and the neighbouring Madrasa. The architecture is what is worth seeing, rather than the displays, which are few and far between.

Second visit to museum , the last 3 years ago. Amazing artefacts but poorly displayed . lighting not good . Bearing in mind most visitors to marrakech speak english it would have been so nice to read about the displays. There are no written guides to explain what the items are. This is a shame as there is an extraordinary... More

We weren't expecting much from the museum, and were amazed by the interior, which is the old Hammam. The tiling is amazing and we just sat and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere for quite a while. Nice cafe too.

There's not a great deal to see in the museum but the interior decor is stunning and you are allowed to take photos. I can understand that the exhibits won't be everyone's cup of tea but when you consider that a ticket for the nearby Madrasa costs 50 dirhams and you can get a combined ticket for the museum &... A couple of rooms with a few bits in, the venue is primarily used as hall for arts or other exhibitions. The information is not in English. Rather than spend 50dir here spend 10 dir and go see the marrakech ben youssef madrasa just down the street, really nice place.

The entire building is on the smallish to medium size and the actual museum part is quite small but the main room is stunning. I enjoyed what was there even if a bit sparse. I liked the art that was on display as well. Beware that there is limited English signage. People rating it low because of the lack of... More
