The museum was the most expensive of the local attractions and is definitely not worth it. Admittedly it is a nice building, but that's about it; there are far better places to visit in Marrakech for half the price. All of the exhibit notices are in French and Arabic and they provide no English translations to carry around.

Went here after a visit to the Medersa..and so glad we did! The place was not crowded and in my opinion had so many interesting artifacts to see as well as the building itself. Would definitely recommend to spend some of your day here!

The main room of the museum is very pretty with some lovely carvings. The rest is run down with no English signs and very little on display-some daggers, bowls/pottery, clothes. Plus some empty rooms for the hamman. The best bits were sitting listening to the fountain out of the hubbub and the man who would writes your name beautifully in... More

If you are passing it is worth going in because it is cheap, otherwise do not go out of your way. All the information is in French and unless you know the history of Marrakech before you visit or you can read French, you can't work out the history at all. It would be more worthwhile watching a documentary, not... More

On the combined ticket so worth a visit. Nothing really too fancy but interesting photos of old Marrakech. Very near other attractions.

So cheap so can spend 30 mins peace in there away from the hassle of street sellers and there is a little cafe by the entrance although... More

I have rusty A-level French and could understand everything ok but others were really struggling with the French/Arabic only signs. A really interesting place and worth a special visit since it has things like ouds (musical instruments), embroidery, pottery, art etc that I haven't seen anywhere else. Lovely central courtyard is now covered over and has an amazing wooden centrepiece,... More

I intended on buying the '3 in 1' ticket but the third location is currently closed for restoration... as with the Ben Youssef madersa there isn't an awful lot to see in here but it is undoubtedly worth going in; the architecture is really quite something and there is a brilliant atmosphere in there! I would definitely go again!

When you pay so little for entry, it is hard to complain. Was nice to spend an hour or so in the museum but do not expect to see the museum in tiptop shape as it is has been neglected over time. Worth a trip if you have some time to kill but don't fret if you miss it.
