Description: The elegant and highly exclusive surroundings of Restaurant Riad Monceau...
The elegant and highly exclusive surroundings of Restaurant Riad Monceau provide a perfect setting for friendly Moroccan cooking classes affording enthusiasts a chance to discover the secrets of some of the best Moroccan cuisine recipes in a professional but also genuinely relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.Led by Rachida Sahnoune, the Riad Monceau’s chef, or one of her prime assistants, and held every morning in the restaurant kitchen itself or on one of the beautiful hotel's terraces, Moroccan cookery classes are restricted to very small groups in order to ensure a real ‘hands-on’ approach and encourage lively interaction between those taking part.

fun morning out

A great day away from the hustle and bussel of the main square, a beautiful building, a super teacher and great food. Very good value for money.

A friend and I stayed at a riad close by, where the staff recommended this cooking class. We arrived early, so we were offered a glass of mint tea at the rooftop garden. Rachide, the chef of the hotel, were to teach us how to make chicken and lamb tajine and samosas with filling of potatoes, vegetables and goat cheese.... More

I participated in the afternoon workshop, and while I found it interesting I was slightly disappointed in my level of participation in the process. Instead of a hands on experience as is explained on the website, I felt like more of a spectator. While I can appreciate that there are time restraints for creating pastries, and the need to stay... What a fabulous morning spent with Rachida in her kitchen. We (three of us) were the only people on the course and we loved it! We made absolutely delicious tagines and we were fascinated by the cool techniques and tips Rachida showed us, including making phyllo pastry from scratch. We had a lovely lunch in the restaurant after the class.... More

We booked online for a half day cookery lesson and I have to admit the expectation was low, having done a few cookery schools and lessons some of them treat customers like they have never set foot in the kitchen. But I have to admit this was one of the best, it was so much fun and even with our... More

Very friendly atmosphere and informative. Will easily be able to create a traditional tajine and delicious vegetable pastry appetizer.

The Cours de Cuisine au Riad Monceau is conveniently located very close to the Jemma El Fna sqyare. The course surroundings were fun, located by the pool, in the patio. We worked closely with master-chef Rachida, who, along with her staff, was very friendly. We were taught one main course, and one dessert - mostly from Moroccan fare. It was... More

We just finished our cooking class at Le riad Le monceau today and had a great time. My 2 boys (10 and 13) loved it from the beginning to the end. The chef, Rachida, directed the class herself, which was great. She is a lovely lady and made everyone feel at ease in this beautiful riad. She even equipped my... More

We really enjoyed doing this cooking course on our last day in Morocco. It was good fun and although I wouldn't say we learnt that much there were a couple of gems that definitely made it worth it. We made a great starter which when we tried it was absolutely delicious - I hadn't seen it on our travels so... More

The experience has already proved: there is nothing better than cooking classes to approach closer to the reality of a country and its people. We've already participated to some classes in France, in Italy as well as in Spain with great pleasure. This moment we spent at the beautiful Riad Monceau has uncovered a generous, warm and welcoming Morocco; everything... More
