The Henna Cafe in Marrakech is a Cultural Association registered in Morocco. It provides: A multi cultural meeting place; a community cafe; a henna salon which offers an educational henna experience to visitors; a gallery of art by local aspiring artists and runs a weekly kids club offering free creative activities to the children of the Bab Doukalla area of the city. All of the profits from the cafe and the henna experience are used to provide assistance in Marrakech in the form of free education and supportive projects. Stumbled across this cafe as it was 2 seconds from our hotel and noticed firstly how cheap it was so thought we'd give it a try. We sat up on the terrace and had the tagine which was lovely and some of the mint tea. What we liked about the place was that all the money went to a good... More

Ventured here as it appealed that the café supports charity work in Marrakesh to help local people. But still wanted good food for lunch, and that's what we got. I had homemade vegetable soup, followed by a cream cheese, tomato and avocado sandwich and my husband had felafal sandwich with a tomato and onion salad, along with a large bottle... More

We found our way to the Henna cafe after a busy morning shopping. We initially got a taxi to take us as close as possible as we were worried about walking round in circles trying to find it. It is literally only a couple of minutes by car from the main medina, but would be less than a ten minute... More

a little out of the way. i was not overly impressed as the space was tiny, the food and drinks just average, and my henna seemingly failed to take and lasted just 2 days.

It was hard to find initially and once we got there, it was amazing. We had the vegetarian options and was good food and great mint tea. The staff were friendly and made good recommendations. The value we paid was reasonable and worth it as proceeds go to charity.

Good place to take a midday rest, with good food and friendly atmosphere. The food was all very tasty, reasonably priced, and all profits are for a good cause anyway. My wife did the henna, which is perhaps a little on the expensive side, and to be honest didn't last as long as other henna she has done in the... More

Lovely little spot with friendly service. All the food was great value, but the cured lamb omelette was particularly delicious.

I love tattoo's - have 4 - but had never had any Henna work done. I'd heard from several people advising against getting Henna done in the main square. So my last day I went over (they serve food and have free wi-fi) I got a coffee while I chose my design and then a mango smoothie. The Henna art... More

We called in here for falafels - which were great, though pretty small amount of bread served with them; and the egg and potato sandwhich which was excellent and a recommended choice. Also had one of the selection of teas which we really enjoyed. Worth a visit.
