Despite good directions, we were lost in the medina for a while before finding the Maison de la Photographie. However, it was definitely worth the find. One gains a sense of the beauty of the culture and social history of Morocco here.

Photos of Marrakech (and nearby) are featured in this small museum. In addition to pictures of the city itself, you will also see compelling portraits of the people of Morocco. Amazing stuff and a must for any fan of art photography.

Lovely small museum of black and white photographs with prints to buy too. Very helpful staff, a cafe on the roof with good views over the souks, and a place to watch the first film documentary made about the country in 1957. A little treat, and respite from the crazy streets.

Nice pics and roof terrace but nothing amazing. We had to pay 6euros and the room was relatively small

I would definitely not miss this photography exhibition as it provides a window into the Morocco of the past. The photos of people and everyday scenes help take you back in time when you wander the alleys. The food at the cafe on the roof is also a nice escape from the hustle and bustle.

A wonderful find, great to spend an hour in and have a relaxing mint tea. The views from the terrace are spectacular - a real bonus. Only downside is that it is really quite difficult to find - though not surprising given its Marrakech! Allow an extra 30 minutes for wandering through the souks :)
