A great experience and mini adventure, starting with the market trip. I met Gemma outside the café with a group that included a couple from Portugal and a lovely group of ladies from Florida and Alaska! Gemma was really fantastic and incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. You will find out about some of the secrets of the Souks which you would... More

Myself my husband and our 13 year old daughter went on this course in April 2015, when I booked I felt quite guilty as I was using a day of my families holiday doing something I want to do instead of riding the water slides in our hotel / water park but it ended up being our daughters highlight !!... If you are interested in food and finding out how the locals live in Marrakesh, then this is for you! If you do it at the start of your trip you will also get some great tips on where to eat for the rest of your visit. It was the best things we did in Marrakesh. We loved it!

Really enjoyed this experience, starting with the market trip. It was great to get to meet some of Gemma's favorite vendors, gather our ingredients, and end up at her kitchen to make so many wonderful dishes. We had a fun and enthusiastic group, and we chopped our way to a fabulous lunch of Moroccan salads, two tajines, and cookies that... More

I loved this day with Gemma. From meeting her in the square and being given your purse and shopping list to going through the souks shopping for all the ingredients to make some truly Moroccan dishes. The ladies working with Gemma were also all very lovely and helpful, and I had a fantastic time learning different techniques and things I... More

This is a brilliant way to start your stay in Marrakech. Meeting Gemma and touring through the Souk to purchase the ingredients for the meal you will prepare later is a great introduction to the City. The experience will also suit seasoned visitors to Marrakech as there is the opportunity to find out much more about daily life. We are... More

Really worth doing and good fun, first you meet in the square to do your food shopping which in itself is an experience! Then you go back to a really fun place to cook & then devour your culinary work! Fab

I had a great day with Gemma and the ladies in March. The day starts in the souks which is a real bonus as you get the act like a local and learn from Gemma's friendly store people. They are very willing to share their knowledge of spices, meats, olives etc. The rest of the day is spent learning the... More

This was one of the best experiences during our trip to Marrakech. We met Gemma in the morning and explored the Souks together. While shopping the groceries for our meal, she showed us many interesting places and gave really good advice - things we might have overlooked otherwise! Afterwards we went to a lovely little house, to prepare the different... More

Myself + 3 friends booked onto Souk Cuisine to have an introduction to cooking Moroccan style. We meet Gemma at 10:00 just off the main square, are armed with a shopping list, bag, purse and into the souk we go. Gemma knows the stall holders, everything seems so much easier when you have a guide. An hour later and we... More
