It could appear as a magnificent fountain to an occidental eye, but your eyes will already be full when you reach the fountain, in the middle of the astonishing medina, so the fountain itself won't seem as gorgeous as described by the locals. Just a quick stop to take some photos maybe, but nothing more; there's a lot more to... More

No need to go out of your way to see this fountain, but if you are passing by admire the lovely tile wok. The mosaics are beautiful.

We visited the Fontain Njjarine on a tour of the medina. It wasn't worth going in to see alone, but worked well as apart of a tour of the larger medina area. It was great for photos and a quick stop.

Fès and all of northern morocco are full of fountains like this, but I agree to my guide that this is one of the (if not the) nicest I've seen. It's next to the Funduq.

Beautiful mosaic tiles in a rosette pattern with cedar planks above. The local actually take water from the fountain. A good photo opportunity.

Do yourself a favor and get over your weariness and follow the local tradition by stopping at this fountain and using the provided cup to take a sip of cool, refreshing water. Great middle point in the medina to take a break to cool off. This is not city water, but rather fresh spring water directly from the earth. Very... More

Beautiful entranceway to Fondouk Nejjarine and the fountain is truly amazing. Beautiful moorish tiling, which you will see in many places in Morocco, and great to see the fountain and the locals using it. It doesn't cost much to see this place but well worth the visit.

The entrance to Fondouk Nejjarine and the fountain are beautiful tile- and plasterwork. The fondouk can be visited for a small fee. The house is really worth seeing. The exibition so, so! Take a little time just to watch the square and to see the life in it. People are coming to the fountain to wash dishes and fruits. Remember... More

We came across many fountains as we wandered the medina however this was definitely the loveliest and most restored. Right next to the Nejjarine museum (wood museum) so not hard to locate. Tea shops in the square so nice spot to take a break.

One of the cleanest fountains in the medina. It is located just in front of the Nejjarine museum and provides a nice background for pictures. Once in a while you see the locals actually getting water from the fountain but we didn't attempt to use it since we weren't sure if that is polite to do. Very nice color classic... More
