The museum is located in Borj Nord - a fortress overlooking Fez and a 5 min taxi drive from the Blue Gate. The fort is accessed down a road off the main road up from the town (There is a signpost). The fort it's self is magnificent - beautifully restored. There are a couple of cannon outside the fort. Inside... More

We visited the museum early in the morning and there were no other visitors around. The entry fee is only 10Dh and they offer headsets for English speakers as the explanations on the displays are only in French and Arabic. The displays themselves are well set out and there are some great examples from the US as well as Europe... More

After visiting the Berg Sud, we expected a similar underwhelming experience at Berg Nord which houses the Arms Museum. The men at the door were friendly, the building was cool and serene, and there was altogether a nice feeling about the place. I am NOT into arms and munitions etc. but the displays were interesting and well presented, with a... More

I'm not into arms and weaponry but this was fascinating. It was interesting to see the different weapons people used to use and the amount of detail in the pieces. Guns had intricate carvings and patterns on and swords seemed like only giants can hold them. A really interesting museum. I think it's worth the visit.

A petit taxi here will cost about one euro.........worth it for the view alone. We whizzed round the exhibits in 30 mins....interesting but no need to linger, then sat contentedly for half an hour on the roof terrace. Entry was 10 dhm (1 euro)......so not going to break the bank, and a decent addition to the whole Fes experience.

This is a must in Fes. Very easy and cheap access on taxi. Then you recieve the spectacular view to the whole Medina of Fes and the visit to the quite interesting ancient fortress with very rich exposition of weapons. Weapons are for men, but view is for everybody). Definitely worth visiting and surprisingly small number of reviews...
