These gardens are situated quite close to the Royal Palace and originate from French colonial times although they have recently been tastefully renovated. Formal beds are interspersed with ornamental fountains alongside a large lake fed from a mountain stream. Shade is provided by mature trees throughout the gardens. I would recommend at the very least paying a brief visit when... More

This is an example of an well managed public garden. It is closed at night. You have an impressive wall surrounding this beautiful place. When walking through you may recognize some plants that are more usual in other countries. All together in a beautiful collection. You are to pick or brake anything. This is only a 10 minute walk from... More

As formal gardens go, it is barely average, though has potential. The beds of cacti & succulents are nice and the variety of snails interesting. I think I was the only visitor in the garden when I was there. Only if you are in the neighbourhood is it worth a brief stroll.

Well laid out gardens that are fine for a stroll without hassle. Plenty of birds and plants and an opportunity to join local people enjoying a relaxing moment.

The formal planting is beautiful but it lacked the atmosphere I usually experience in places like this. It didn't help that it was raining the day that I was here or that it's a bit of a hang out for groups of young guys playing tinny music through their mobile phones...and the amazing bamboo planting had graffiti on it. However,... More

Definitely worth walking through if you go nearby. Nice big alleys. Good for pictures. There's a big pond, but the water is not clean.

A beautiful garden situated just outside the old medina, came for a stroll after a lovely breakfast in the little cafe (Cafe Jnan Sbil) opposite. Was mesmerised by the beauty and variety of plants and trees and the cooling fountains. The garden or small park is well maintained and very clean, lovely break from the busy medina. Recommended place to... More

A lovely garden......take a book and stay a couple of hours ,but DONT LIE ON THE GRASS!! You`ll get a sharp blast on the whistle ,from one of the dozen or so baton carrying ,orange jacketed wardens. Still, a most pleasant rest from the hustle of the medina!
