I was pleasantly surprised by this lush green garden just outside the old medina in Fez. It is well maintained and provides a shady place to walk or sit away from the heat and busyness of Fez.

I've been coming to Fes for nearly 50 years, and hadn't visited this garden, though the mature trees show it's not new. It's a formal garden, quite large to stroll in, and not very busy on the morning we visited it. My favorite part was the 'scent garden' in one corner, where there are sage, rosemary, mint and other aromatic... More

it is great to visit these gardens at the end of the visit to the Medina. You will be able to catch your breath and welcome the quiet and calm of this beautiful park. There are many water features and wonderful trees. Definitely have a seat on one of the benches and smell the roses.

We visited this garden on a very hot day, so it was nice to be cooled in the shade from the mature plantings. A very pleasant garden to sit in and enjoy, or stroll through. We were in a loose group, and the women in our group were not harassed. The water wheel sculpture that is featured in descriptions of... More

This is a welcome respite from the bustle of Fes and not a place to be missed to see beautiful flowers and plants. The garden is very well kept and it was a beautiful sanctuary that was relaxing, quiet, and the opposite of busy-ness of the souks. Many guidebooks say there's a cafe with drinks/snacks, but it was nowhere that... More

This old garden has a wonderful, peaceful ambience and mellows out the whole Fes experience. I found it very soul restoring and relaxing after the bustle of the souks, and a slow wander among the tall trees, fountains and floral displays definitely recharged my batteries. Many locals use the park, sitting in peaceful groups, young lovers steal some quiet time... More

Prettiest gardens we saw in Morocco. However it was a bit awkward trying to find somewhere to sit and read. Nice place but once again you probably need to be with a man otherwise you will get harassed.

Visit the park - only 5 minutes walk from Bab Boujeloud - in the afternoon. Lovely restored garden. Lots of moroccans are sitting on the benches and fountains. A nice place to relax after a day in the medina

Gates were open when we arrived, but an official caught up with us to say it was closed on Mondays and escorted us out. What we saw consisted mostly of trees. We were catching a morning train south the following day so never got to see it properly

A short walk from the medina and a very peaceful place to sit.The lakeside is good place to meet local moroccans, or sit under the shade of the many trees. A variety of plants from bamboo to cacti to formal planted european flowers.
