I loved the time in the market and our chat about Moroccan culture. I've now had a few guides in Morocco but all male - it was awesome to get a female perspective. Perhaps I would have enjoyed the food part more if it was earlier in my trip. She explained the limited spices they use in Moroccan food, which... More

Souad had to be the highlight of our cooking class - she is absolutely hilarious, delightful and a great instructor. Cafe Clock were great in allowing us to do a vegetarian option and the people we met did meat (we would normally all have to choose the same thing). It was also great to be able to ask questions about... More

Up stairs in the clock cafe. First she has you decide on menu And yes you do have choices for each course Next she takes you through the food section of that neighborhoods medina and explains things as we go The chef/teacher speaks perfect English with American accent. And is conversant on any subject you ask about. I felt it... More

I've recently cooked what I learned from Souad and managed to do it from memory although you get a small cookery booklet if you pass the test. We had a great time and Souad really made us laugh. We learned how to make the smoked Aubergine salad, lentil soup and veggie tagine. Our macaroons were too oily and I'd recommend... More

Souad was an excellent and fun chef, making us all participate, and letting us choose the menu as a group, including some cultural references and stories. The market tour was particularly interesting and hands-on. The food is typically Moroccan home-cooking, but Souad encouraged us to use alternatives back home to make it practical. The whole experience was above my expectations,... More

They say that the best Moroccan food is home-cooked, and the cooking class at Cafe Clock is a great way to prove this theory! They provide a "menu" of items to choose from (starters, mains and desserts), and after a walk in the surrounding area of the medina, you start cooking your meal. Souad was the teacher chef - she... We had a group of three take a really fun and delicious cooking course! This was definitely one of the top highlights during our vacation in Morocco! It was exciting to go into the market and see where the ingredients for the meal came from and learn a little bit about what to buy and where. Souad, the cook, was... More

We got there by luck. First we got a delicious camel burger, then we booked a cooking class. Great experience only the two of us were there, we learned a lot of tricks to prepare a whole meal in a perfect local style. Sharing cous cous with our teacher on the terrace was great. I recommend this place and this... More

Cafe Clock Cooking School in Fes provides a funky atmosphere to learn many things as well as dine in their restaurant. We had the pleasure of a Bread Making lesson with chef Abdul Azark. We cooked three types of bread and one pastry, which we then ate in the restaurant. Abdul was not only an excellent chef and teacher, but... More
