This cooking class, run by Souad the head chef at Cafe Clock, was excellent. Souad was charming and easily understandable with excellent English. Running from 10am to 3pm, a class of 2, we initially decided on a menu of one entree, main and dessert. We then went shopping in the local market . Souad was great, giving a lot of... More

We found our way to Cafe Clock on the first day of our short stay in Fes (only to get thoroughly lost on the way back). Souad's enthusiasm as a teacher is exceptional. We cooked pastilla, a pea soup and Zaalouk salad and chatted about multiple aspects of life in Fes. For our menu we needed a chicken - Souad... More

They say Fes is the culinary capital of Morocco, making it a good city to take a cooking class in. Cafe clock was quite a cool little cafe that felt geared to ex-pats, but is definitely cool if you need a familiar escape from an otherwise very unfamiliar place. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The class itself... More

The Medina in Fes can be overwhelming on a first visit, but skip the guides and start at Cafe Clock to ensure a good launch. Its not hard to find. The cooking class that Souad host can't be beat! Learn about the market foods, cooking and engage Souad in lively conversation. She is willing to talk about anything and provide... More

We had a fantastic day at Cafe Clock Cooking School in the heart of the Fes Medina. Souad welcomed us with Berber eggs and cooldrinks after which we went into the narrow alleys of the medina to visit the vendors from whom we would be buying all our ingredients. At each stall Souad gave us information about the ingredients and... More

6 of us had booked a cookery course. Unfortunately one was ill and two of us couldn't manage all the steps to the kitchens. Three took the course and enjoyed it and we all enjoyed eating their efforts. The female chef spoke excellent English, she took us around the market to buy chickens, vegetables and spices and explained everything to... More

while this is said to be nr 1 attraction in FEZ we booked cookingclass. Su_eed is very kind and friendly and is willing to inform you just about anything you want to know. But the shopping was not so spectaculair and the result of our cooking the same. What we missed are the really outspoken flavours; it all was very... More

We spent our second day in Fes doing this workshop withe the delightful and aptly named Sou‘ad (her name means Happier). She took us to the Medina to buy our food, explained how Halal butchery works, how people preserve their food without refrigeration, showed us traditional ingredients for food, beauty, and more, and then taught us the recipes, all while...
