Agadir was hit by an earthquake in the early 1960's, which destroyed the City. The result is a rebuilt, modern, clean and tidy City, similar to Spain. We arrived by a Cruise Ship in a container port - NOT quite a Cruise Terminal. The walk from the Ship to the Marina took about 40 minutes of moderate walking, although there... More

This is a very wide and long stretch of sand going on for 7km. Hotels have there sunbeds and umbrellas on small areas roped off but there is plenty of space if your hotel is not one of these. There is a flat wall separating the beach from the promenade which is ideal to sit on and watch the world... More

If you like sand you will love the beach. There are surfers which are fun to watch and lots of traders as you walk along. As long as you say no they leave you alone. There are plenty of beds and umbrellas for hire. The beach is laid out similar to El Arunel in Majorca.

Only visited for a few hours as I was on a cruise. Didn't fancy going to the souks (markets) so decided to try the beach. I was pleasantly surprised and really glad I went. It is a six mile long promenade and you could easily be in any European seaside resort. There were looky looky men but if you didn't... More

Rubbish strewn everywhere, whether it was tucked away into corners of the beach, steps or up against rocks and beds. The 'clean-up' gang which you see drive up and down the beach need to work harder at keeping the beach clean or better still tourists should use a bin! Can be very windy and the locals (lucky lucky men) selling... More

even allowing for recent storms in area clean up effort poor and painstakingly slow. Access to beach is over all sorts of rubbish, plastic, bottles, paper and stuff washed ashore along whole length of beach which stretches for miles

I loved the beach here, very flat, sandy and warm. Nice safe water too. We were approached by locals trying to sell their wares but kept saying "no thank you". If you engage them they won't leave!!

Soft and thin sand, very calm waters, great for children, the temperature in December was warmer then in the summer in Nazare, Portugal. Even though it is sunny in December and temperatures are around 20C, it can be a bit windy, so not great for sun bathing. However by playing volleyball and walking on the beach I came home with... The beach in Agadir has good soft sand and plenty of room. On my visit, my hotel had a private area cordoned off on the beach into which street traders were not allowed, so I wasn't pestered by them.
