For about 50$, you can spend a day at Ourika Valley, 60km from Marrakech. The nature is incredibly beautiful. Setti Fatma, the village is a beautiful mix between mountain and waterfalls. Once you get there, you have to rent a guide to go up the waterfalls. There are 7 falls. Lots of Morrocan flock there on the weekends to escape... More

I had booked this tour 3 weeks prior to my trip to Marrakech through a tour company called Sabor Services via Getyourguide.com. I initially thought that I was in for the worst day of my life as for: 1, the tour company was late by 40 minutes 2, he did not apologise 3, he sped off walking down the street... More

Ourika Valley, what must have been a lovely place a few years ago has turned into a tourist hot spot and spoilt by too many resteraunts and poor guided tours! The region is generally quite picturesque on the way until you get close to a waterfall where all the tourist buses head to. The waterfall is quite nice but small,... More

By far the best place to see in Marrakech. , whilst in Marrakech we wanted to see the atlas mountains called Ourika as its one of the natural beautiful places of the world. . We decided to do this trip from Marrakech and considering the distance is very much worth it and decided to do the trip by a coach... More

We hired a car with driver to take us to the valley from Marrakech. Cost 1000 dirhams but very nice comfy SUV and a driver who let us set the pace of what to do. Lovely drive up. Stopped at a Berber village on route which is a big rip off and hugely gimmicky. Once we got to setti fatma,... More

40 minutes drive away from the Marrakesh centre ,and you will find yourself in very scenic route up some breath taking landscapes. You are on the edge of the Atlas Mountain. There are many stops you may wish to do. But ultimately the final stop is at the end of the village of Setti Fatma. Been told no cars go... More

I was expecting to see the Ouzoud Falls but ended up in Ourika Valley due to a mix up with the arrangements so was not appropriately dressed. The large taxi we booked charged 500 dirhams for a tour from Riu Tikida Gardens hotel; we stopped at the pottery place (overpriced), the Argan oil house (overpriced), Ourika Valley and Koutoubia Mosque... This is a really disappointing place. I'm sure there are beautiful parts to this valley but the waterfall we were taken to (late in the day after being paraded around various shops and tourists traps for most of it!) has been really spoilt. Cafés and tacky shops cover every inch of the river banks (and some even in the middle... More

A great day (we negotiated down to 250 DH each- £17ish) bit foggy and damp at first but ended up beautiful. Berber village was quaint ,Argon oil huts was interesting .However before the walk to the summit (ish!) we was pushed into a terrace top restaurant for lunch , where we paid for a tajine and coke (about 90 DH)...
