This church "lady of Africa" is a footprint in the Muslim continent and well preserved. I had to go, because that is where I was baptized when I was 5 y/o, and I only remembered the stairs at the entrance! Well, I can say that the church seats nicely on this hill overlooking the city and the port and at... More

Smaller than you'd think, and not well signposted from the streets down below, but worth the drive up, and for the view. Copious signs inside requesting no photos, but that doesn't seem to stop people.

When in Algiers this is a must to see. Located in a commanding place with stunning views. No photos allowed here as in many places in Algeria.

Mostly interesting as a Catholic landmark in a Muslim country. Nothing really special inside though.

This is a big rock in muslims ground. It's impressive the diference between a church in Europe and in Algeria, where the statues and the paints are more eccentrics. The view over the city is amazing and sure is a place to pass by after lunch. Enjoy!

This place well deserves its #1 ranking on Tripadvisor. The views out over the bay on a clear day are stunning and the church itself is a pretty structure and has been well maintained. It's certainly worth making the effort to visit when in Algiers.

This is an old church on the hillside overlooking the Mediterranean and hence offers lovely view of the Algiers city and coastline. The church itself is a big and quite grand one...you are allowed to walk in and have a view but not click photos. However, there is a small shop inside selling souvenir picture post cards, books etc.

I mixed up my comment with the sacre couer but this is the best place to visit for a great view. Calm and quiet you can enjoy the local people. This is a must to visit.
