This place well deserves its #1 ranking on Tripadvisor. The views out over the bay on a clear day are stunning and the church itself is a pretty structure and has been well maintained. It's certainly worth making the effort to visit when in Algiers.

Beautiful church , recently renovated!. Charming view of the city and the area from this place. Please visit inside, its magical. taking photos inside is forbidden. We had a best guide sister Lourde from Spain. She gave us personal tour around this place . Thank you so much! As well best regards to sister Margaret from Poland! Everybody is welcome... More

This is an old church on the hillside overlooking the Mediterranean and hence offers lovely view of the Algiers city and coastline. The church itself is a big and quite grand one...you are allowed to walk in and have a view but not click photos. However, there is a small shop inside selling souvenir picture post cards, books etc.

I mixed up my comment with the sacre couer but this is the best place to visit for a great view. Calm and quiet you can enjoy the local people. This is a must to visit.

I had wanted to see this long before I visited Algeria, and I did love it, and am glad I saw it in person. I am surprised it is ranked number one as an attraction, as I think in Algiers there are many more beautiful attractions and museums to see. It is worth the visit, and view of the city... More

Getting to the cathedral is like a story out of "planes, trains & automobiles". You'll definitely work to get to the church but once you do the view is spectacular and the cathedral itself is beautiful. Sadly no pictures allowed inside but well worth the visit. Try to visit on a clear/sunny day to make the most of the view.
