German, Italian, British, Japanese and even the American brands are here. Old and newer. Famous and infamous. In the famous category are bikes owned by Steve McQueen, Evel Knievel, Peter Fonda, and more including some that were in movies. The museum is well maintained. They have sidecars and race bikes too!

The good thing about this Anamosa museum is that it is literally has the best collection of motorcycles I've ever seen, and I've been to a lot of places. The bad thing about this museum is that it badly lacks any explanation for the motorcycles it exhibits; so you literally can wind up strolling a huge hall filled with hundreds... More

Had a great time. Got to say Hi to Jonn Parham as he was packing up for Davenport. Definitely would go back to suck in more history! From all the amazing displays! Thx John Parham! We stayed at the AmericInn. Nice! :)

The National Motorcycle Museum is a place that should not be missed. My wife and I spent over 4 hours there and I plan on returning. The museum features many historic and important motorcycles and displays. The folks running the museum are extremely friendly and helpful. The price of admission is cheap for what is provided.

About 45 minutes northeast of Cedar Rapids is the National Motorcycle Museum. We spent about 1 hour in the museum and, even though we aren't motorcycle enthusiasts, we found it to be pretty interesting. You'll be able to see how the motorcycle has evolved over the years, and there's definitely more of an emphasis on American motorcycles over their Japanese... More

We detoured through Anamosa so my husband could "check out" the bikes. The kids enjoyed the bikes - and learned a little as well from the excellent informative displays. We only had a short time available and if you are an affecionado you should set aside at least 2 hours. My husband was impressed by the huge collection of bikes... More

If you have the time and like vintage motorcycles, check it out. Some really cool bikes but some ordinary bikes there. Nice collection overall with good descriptions.

This place is unbelievable. If you are a biker, this is the closest to heaven to will get while on earth. If you are not a biker, there is so much history being told here that you will get lost in all there is to learn. Plan on several hours, lots of pictures, and eye pain with all there is... More
