Great place to have some fun

Great place. The kids are what this place is all about. We went camping in our travel trailer. The campgrounds were spotless owners are amazing. Kids loved the rides and water park . We will go year after year for sure. The swimming pool and gameroom and pavillion were about 100 feet from our camper.the best thing about it is... More

Not a lot of roller coasters to choose from but all are fun. Lots of kiddie rides too. The water park is awesome, I just wish it had a separate entrance. Lots of cool water slides and a swim up bar. Big lazy river. Chairs are impossible to get as the place is always full.

While Adventureland is no Six Flags or Worlds of Fun, it is still an enjoyable place to go to, especially for teenagers or families with young kids. If you have extra time while visiting the Des Moines area or are looking for a place to take your children (or your inner child) to have some fun, check it out. Otherwise... More

Des Moines is so lucky to have this attraction! This Amusement Park is very clean and they are very particular who they hire as staff members so most of the staff operating the rides are retired folks. Of course the waterpark and games are staffed by students, but everyone really seems to take pride in their jobs and are friendly... More

My boys and I love this park! I've been going here since I was a little kid. They have plenty of rides and add at least 1 new one every year. The waterpark is amazing! The food is decent priced and wait lines go pretty quickly.

Took our grand daughters to enjoy the day and enjoy we did! The waterpark here is awesome and everything is under one reasonable price! You actually need two days to spend here to get it all in!

Adventureland is a decent little amusement park in Altoona, Iowa that has \ a decent selection of rides. Tornado and Outlaw are two good wooden coasters. Dragon is an okay looping coaster, and the Underground is an interesting themed indoor coaster but very tame. The park will be receiving a new steel roller coaster called Monster in 2016 that I... Both my children have season passes, we drop them off in the morning, they spend anywhere from 2 hours to 8 hours there. It is safe, very clean, and the help is very helpful. Both my sons have become addicted to coasters, and are very excited about the new coaster coming to A-Land.

The amusement park has something for the entire family. I would plan your day of getting there early and staying the entire day. Pack a lunch or pick from several food vendors throughout the park makes your day complete!
