Nice, peaceful, fun family place

We took our girls there when they were little and canoed from lake to lake, went on some trails & brought a picnic. Great price, close to home, and beautiful in the fall!

What I like about Chain O'Lakes is that you can rent a canoe and just go canoeing freely through the lakes. It is a different experience than other state parks offer. There is also swimming, hiking, etc. But, I just love the canoeing. Totally different, and lots of fun :)

Campsites and restrooms were clean. Availability of your favorite sites is usually not a problem, unless its the holiday. Staff was friendly and courteous.

We camp here a lot, lots to do, swimming, fishing, hiking, great playgrounds for kids, one of our favorite state parks!

We love to go to Chain O' Lakes. The primative campground is usually quiet, the lots are a nice size. The restrooms are kept clean. There is a camp store that is well stocked with items you may have forgotten. There are several trails for hiking and dogs are permitted if leashed. There are both easy and moderate trails. As... This state park is only a couple of hours from my home but I had never been there until the past couple of Summers. What a shame to have missed out on it all of these years. The camping is very reasonably priced and I really like the rustic ring in the campground. It's shady and very comfortable. The lake/beach... More

Lately our attention has been turned to RV campsites. We have decided to explore the United States on wheels. We love to take our dogs with us as they are also part of our family. So I will be reviewing different campgrounds as we travel. The weekend of August 12th we visiting Chain O'Lakes State Park in INDIANA, not the... More

I have been here a few times and actually I'm going back next week as well. This state park is home to my favorite camping site. This park does offer normal campsites as well however I prefer the "canoe camping". Its a small camping area of only 4 sites. Almost as primitive as you can get in a park (these... More
