We were very impressed with the museum. It was our main goal for our trip north. The guide was extremely well informed and helpful. The exhibits were very informative. Afterwards my husband and I spent dinner comparing notes about what all we had learned. The exhibit about the German POWs was instructive, the photos of the shooting range that accommodated... More

The park is very well maintained and the staff friendly. Good hiking trails (get a map from the visitor center - we got lost...). Disc golf was fun (discs on sale at the visitor center). The museum is interesting and well worth the stop (even the non-historians in our group liked it). It is close enough to make a day... More

Most people don't know that Idaho was home to a naval training base during WWII. Farragut State Park has a wonderful museum full of information about the base and WWII in general, which was interesting to the adults and children alike in our group. There are also several disc golf "greens", and Lake Pond Oreille is beautiful! There are day... More

This was such a nice surprise. Lake Pend Oreille is absolutely beautiful, perfect for sailing, hiking and biking trails abound, campsite secluded, clean and so very nice. Customer Service was excellent - so looking forward to the next time!

My family and I love Farragut, our first time was to Waldron earlier this summer, stayed for 4 days. Waldron is more of a open camping area with large flat areas and fairly treed. The showers and facilities are private, new, very nice in general. Easy for a 40 pull-through guy like me. Our recent weekend stay at Snowberry was... More

This was our 2nd time we camped here...spent 15 days in snowberry #107 and find it the best site. The lake was warm the rangers are great to deal with and the camp hosts love being their. Disc golf we got into and played at least 12 times. This will be a must stop for us to get away for... More

We specifically enjoyed the museum and the Visitor Center. The park was lovely and we saw lots of wild life. Our son enjoyed the disc golf courses. It was a very pleasant day for us and we are so glad we went.

Our family traveled from Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Texas, Wisconsin, Massachutes, and Alberta Canada to our family reunion. We had a great time in a beautiful park. The only downside I had was the cabins need new mattresses. I would definitely return.

We stayed in the Gilmore loop and what a gem this was. The spaces are not too close, there was privacy and noise was not an issue. The sites are very large with many trees for shade. The campground was very well maintained and clean and the camp hosts were delightful. There is plenty to do from hiking, biking, swimming,... More

This by far is our absolute favorite state park. It is situated on 44,000 acres so there is more than enough room to spread out. We stayed on one of the upper loops and enjoyed a large semi private spot with a cement pad, tent pad and nice table area. The spots are meticulously maintained by the campground hosts, they... More
