We spent the day driving through Farragut. We enjoyed a picnic at Sunrise Day Use area and searched for goats on Goat Mountain. We went down to Beaver Bay Beach to enjoy the water and the beautiful views. The museum at the Brig was well worth the time, as it provided many interesting insights into the naval history of WWII.... More

there are several camp sites but we were in "whitetail" campground site 31 and it had the feel of being in the forest alone. Not all sites were like this (they were all manicured beautifully) but this one was hidden and was just a short walk to the restrooms which were kept very clean. You could take about a 1/2... More

Farragut State Park was beautiful. Kids had a blast swimming. Campgrounds were nice and all paved so the kids can ride bikes. Campsites are roomy but no septic hookups. Grass was a little long, could use a cut. Overall wonderful park!

Recently stayed in the Gilmore loop at this huge state park and we had an excellent time. Our camp hosts made the trip quite memorable as they were very personable and were willing to give us advice about anything to do with the area. The sites were large and well maintained in our loop and the bathrooms and showers were... More

Beautiful, clean... Very nice campground !! Loved feeding the little chipmunks! The Beaver Beach Bay swimming area was so inviting and couldn't believe all of the boats at the lake . Enjoyed strolling thru the museum...had no idea the history of this area

First off if you're tent camping make sure you have a small tent and look at pad sizes at the campsites. Lots of RV areas. Very small camp sites as well. They do have decent bathrooms and showers that are free. They do sell camp fire wood at the main office and host sites. Fresh water spouts around the campground... More

The Whitetail Campground was perfect for the five nights we stayed this month. Campsites are clean and well maintained. Most sites are quite private from each other, and not too far from the water spigot or the waste water drain. Even though the campground was full on Saturday night, it was quiet and pleasant. The bathrooms and shower rooms are... More

We were going to stay here for 2 days and ended up booking 4 nights. This place is amazing for hiking, walking down to the beach, and exploring the area. I had no idea that the military had such a big place here during world war 2. Great area.

We really enjoyed camping in Farragut State Park! We chose the campground here so that we could easily explore Sandpoint (for the classic car show) and Coeur d'Alene. I was concerned that the campground would be too large and busy for us, but we booked a really private campsite in the Whitetail loop (site 27) and barely saw any other... More

I have been to this park over a dozen times. It is a peaceful place that is well run and beautiful. There are great places to swim and playgrounds for the children. I have never had an incident with fellow campers. In other camping experiences, there have been people who are noisy or drunk, but everyone I have encountered here... More
