We really enjoyed camping in Farragut State Park! We chose the campground here so that we could easily explore Sandpoint (for the classic car show) and Coeur d'Alene. I was concerned that the campground would be too large and busy for us, but we booked a really private campsite in the Whitetail loop (site 27) and barely saw any other... More

I have been to this park over a dozen times. It is a peaceful place that is well run and beautiful. There are great places to swim and playgrounds for the children. I have never had an incident with fellow campers. In other camping experiences, there have been people who are noisy or drunk, but everyone I have encountered here... More

Farragut has great campsites and a nice little beach for swimming. There are hikes and plenty of places to ride bikes. The bathrooms are well maintained. I don't know if ALL the sites are like this, but ours and our friends' sites were quite private with a lot of vegetation acting as a natural border.

I have spent two summer vacations sailing on Lake Pend Oreille and exploring the areas around Bay View. I am from Arizona so this is a trek. The area is beautiful. Hiking in Farragut is wonderful with lush vegetation and views of the lake. The water is cold but locals don't seem to mind especially in one of the shallow... More

We live close by so we go to Farragut for a change of scenery a couple of times a year. Beaver Bay Beach is my favorite for family visits - it's not as crowded as Coeur d'Alene sometimes gets and it has an "un-urbanized" feel to it. My 5 year old's imagination runs wild hiking the trails and looking for... More

A huge park, hiking trails, four disc golf courses, boating and very friendly staff. Great place for overnighting or day trips.

Farragut S.P. is quite a large park with many different activities. I visit in frequently since it is so close, probably 50 times or more a year. There are miles of trails for hiking, running, biking, and, for us, training sleddogs. It has several campgrounds which are full through most of the summer. Despite accomodating a large number of visitors,... More

Wonderful day use areas, trails, excellent boat ramp, nice camping areas for RVs, Tents, and Boats. Central location near natural areas and National Forest land.

Not crazy busy like CDA gets, we were able to kayak the lake for several hours without anyone swamping us with a boat or PWC. Although we didn't camp here we did check out the facilities for future use, and they looked very nice! Real camping, no glamping!
