I can only give a review of our actual site as we didn't use any other part of the park. I saw signs for some cool-looking activities, but we got in very late and left very early. On that note, be prepared that if you check in late that 1) you will have no rangers to help you and 2)... More

Stayed in snowberry loop; although the sites were not terribly private, the hosts did an excellent job maintaining the sites and keeping things quiet at night. Not sure why soap is not provided in the restrooms though--you need to bring your own. The yellow jackets were bad this year, but otherwise it is a great camping/recreation area with swimming pond,... More

Our stop was the Willow day use area. I was impressed at how nice it was and well-kept the area was. We took one of the trails down that followed the lake. It was also well maintained and occasionally you would come upon a bench to just sit and enjoy the view of the lake. Unfortunately one of the things... More

It sounded intriguing. A museum inside a state park in an old brig. Why not stop and check it out. Fascinating story to learn about and all in a beautiful setting. We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed the outdoors while we ate. Could have spent a lot longer if we didn't need to get going. And at $5/car it... More

We were looking for somewhere close to Silverwood that we could camp at and managed to book a site at Farragut. Unfortunately, we didn't have much opportunity to do much at the park, but we will certainly be visiting again. Lots to do and very well-maintained. The washrooms / showers were very clean, as were the sites. We have never... More

We visited last week with our two kids. This was our home base while we visited Silverwood so we really didn't spent much time here. Thank goodness because our campsite was HORRIBLE!!! Most of the campsites in this loop were horrible. Ours was on a hill so that made getting level and safely securing the trailer a challenge. The site... More

We spent the day driving through Farragut. We enjoyed a picnic at Sunrise Day Use area and searched for goats on Goat Mountain. We went down to Beaver Bay Beach to enjoy the water and the beautiful views. The museum at the Brig was well worth the time, as it provided many interesting insights into the naval history of WWII.... More

there are several camp sites but we were in "whitetail" campground site 31 and it had the feel of being in the forest alone. Not all sites were like this (they were all manicured beautifully) but this one was hidden and was just a short walk to the restrooms which were kept very clean. You could take about a 1/2... More

Farragut State Park was beautiful. Kids had a blast swimming. Campgrounds were nice and all paved so the kids can ride bikes. Campsites are roomy but no septic hookups. Grass was a little long, could use a cut. Overall wonderful park!
