Absolutely disgusting. The trainers were trying to distract us by saying the dolphins live longer in captivity than they do out and that they only perform if they want to when they saw how horrified we were with the conditions. I would NEVER stay at Kahala Resort nor will I eat here again.

My wife did the full 1 hour package. The experience seemed very much targeted at kids which were about 3/4 of the group. Lots of talk about treating the dolphins well and why they keep them in captivity. Dolphins are well treated. Lots of group games with dolphins. Swimming with the dolphins is limited without much dolphin contact. Definitely not... More

We had a great time on this trip with my 6 year old twins. At first I booked we booked the Dolphin Encounter months in advance and a couple weeks prior to our trip, we realized that both kids had to have an adult, so I called to ask and they said yes that's the rule. They were able to... More

My daughters aged 11 & 14 were 'Trainers for a day' at the Kahala Resort, Oahu. This was a day they will never forget and a dream come true for them both. Our girls spent the day doing everything the trainers do, and I mean everything. From sorting and weighing the fish for the dolphins food, to learning the signals... More

We had our three kids - 17, 15 and 11 experience this at the Kahala as we were staying there and it was so much fun for them! The guides are so enthusiastic with the participants and we all felt they got to know their dolphin and even our 17 year old LOVED it. If you are there - do... More

My granddaughter said she wanted to swim with dolphins, so we all went, Grandpa, me, Daughter and two teenage grandkids and WE ALL LOVED IT! Yes it was expensive, but it was worth it plus we got the AAA discount which helped. Yes, the dolphins are in captivity they are not wild, but they were all born in captivity. The... More

Over the years I have participated in several "meet the dolphins" events. However, the Dolphin Quest on Oahu is the best I have seen. It is much more fun that the "production" dolphin experiences other places on Oahu. The setting is very intimate with the dolphins and the staff is both knowledgeable and exceptionally capable in dealing with children. Set... More

My 5 year old daughter had the best time at Dolphin Quest and participated in the Kids Aquatic Adventure! The trainer took time to know the children by name and was excellent with them. In the water she had one on one time with the dolphin and was able to give him a kiss! She was in a group of... More

Our daughter, age 11, sought and found Dolphin Quest online; and we booked it. Dolphin Quest keeps the group small and divides it between instructors and dolphins to maximize the experience. The instructors were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend this for everyone.
