Their dolphins seem healthy & happy enough, but the lagoons look very small for 6 grown dolphins. Some effort at education was made but even experienced swimmers are not allowed to move more than 1-2 feet away from the edge or dock so it's only intensely supervised & choreographed actions with no opportunity for any free interactions with the dolphins.... We did lots of things in Hawaii, cruised multiple islands, saw really great places, but when all was said and done, hubby and I agreed that this was tied for number 1 as the BEST thing we did! Yes, it's expensive, but SO worth it for this once in a lifetime experience. Our trainer (sorry, name escapes me but she... More

Experiencing interaction with a dolphin as close as Dolphin Quest offered was more than I expected. It bordered on an emotional experience, especially seeing my daughter's expression as she interacted with the dolphin. The staff was great and the dolphins are very well trained. I must admit. it was pricey for the 25 minutes we spent with the dolphin, along... More

This went beyond all my expectations. The staff is kind and helpful, the dolphins are amazing and the environment feels as if you're in their lagoon, not the pool at a hotel. I had a nearly ninety minute drive to take in part in this adventure and it was worth every mile. This is something I've wanted to do for... More

After looking at a few different Dolphin encounter options for the Kid's in Waikiki I settled with the Dolphin Quest at the Kahala Hilton. It was a pricey experience. So i was overjoyed that the program that the kids participated in was just so GREAT!!! The staff are so lovely very cheerful and very helpful and informative. They participated in... More

Our 8 year old daughter says this was the highlight of her trip. The program was very well organized, fun and educational. She had about 20 minutes in a small lagoon with 4 other children with the dolphin. The entire program was 90 minutes. The resort grounds are beautiful and the parents could tag along with their child or enjoy... More

We were staying at the Kahala and I had been walking by the dolphin lagoons all week debating on if I wanted to do this. It is a pricy experience, but I'm so glad I did it! It was fun, informative and the Dolphins are magnificent! I do not agree with the reviews that say it's cruel. I absolutely love... More

My wife did the full 1 hour package. The experience seemed very much targeted at kids which were about 3/4 of the group. Lots of talk about treating the dolphins well and why they keep them in captivity. Dolphins are well treated. Lots of group games with dolphins. Swimming with the dolphins is limited without much dolphin contact. Definitely not... More
