Oahu had our favorite beaches (we traveled to Kauai later). There is something about the Oahu beach that is laid-back and really lets me relax. All of the locals are very friendly. The drive to the beach from Waikiki is beautiful. Great roadside food for a quick bite.

Thus beach has everything! DO NOT GO IN THE WINTER! I do not care how good of a swimmer you are (I have done 3 ocean races and on a USA swim team) in the winter this beach has over 50 waves so do not go near the north shore in the winter! The summer on the other hand is... More

This is a beautiful beach and it is very popular. Need to get there early to get a parking space. Great place to spend the day. There is a wonderful rock cliff to jump off of. Lots of beach, little parking. Great iconic North Shore beach to watch sunset or play all day. Restrooms available. Highly recommend !

The only complaint about the Bay is the parking. If you want reliable parking, show up early ~8am or late ~6pm, any time in-between you might have to park far away. The water is crystal clear on a sunny day and the beach is big enough to find a spot. Even if the water is flat, you still have big... More

Parking is very limited for this beach park. There are changing facilities, bathrooms and showers. Not much shade to be found. The beach is more for those who know how to swim and those who love a good laugh when the waves push them over or suck them into the water. The sand is beige and more grainy; the beach... More

We took a day to explore the island in a rental car and found this beach was one of the best on the island! Easy to get to, but not much free parking so get there early or you will pay about $10 to park. It's worth it though! The sand and surf are excellent. We spent a couple hours... More

A gorgeous beach were the sun sets and enough sand for any family or friends to set up big tents and BBQs. Amenities include toilet and showers and locals often sell a few refreshments. The beach is turquoise in colour and another perfect Hawaiian beach. Big thrill was jumping off a 20ft rock, lots of fun!! Just in front of... More

I will always remember my daughter standing on the rocks looking down on the bay and pronouncing it her favourite beach in the world. And she's an Aussie and knows great beaches. This beach is like a picture postcard. You can jump off the cliff, snorkel in the incredibly blue waters or just laze on the white sands. It's a... More

Waimea Bay Beach Park is known to be a popular park to spot dolphins & turtles, along with big waves in winter and calm surf in summer. It is located along the Kamehameha Hwy, in Haleiwa, HI. In the winter, this beautiful bay is home to big wave surfing, when thousands of visitors come to see international, expert long boarders... More

Got here at 11 am and the parking lot was full! Pulled out and parked on someone's private property about 5 minutes walk? It was a huge property and he could easily fit 50 cars there. Only charged $5 so not bad. Not much shade here and the main attraction is jumping off the rocks. There are two sides to... More
