I love to rent a car and drive to Waimea Beach park for a swim and dive off of the rock cliffs. I like my beaches a little wild, out of the way, rustic, and under-developed, and this place hits the mark. I found a free bus from the Hilton hotel to the attraction across the street from Waimea Beach,... More

A big bunch of my extended family were all staying on the North Shore recently and we decided to head to Waimea Bay for the day. We all had such a great time snorkelling, relaxing on the sand and jumping off the rock. We got up close and personal to three turtles only a few feet off shore, and whilst... More

Always passed by this beach but this time decided to stop and boy was it worth it. Beach is not loaded with toms of people, and it's nice to just watch the big waves crashing the shore. It does get rough in the water due to the large waves and currents that pull back out to the ocean. So the... More

I went there on April, the sea was flat, so it was the way I like it! The water is really clear and we saw turtles too! It has also a rock really good to jump. It is good to go early because of the parking, and if you you're a Eddie Aikau's fan you must go there!

Very popular spot-but when I was there the waves crashed big time very close to shore but if not in the water quite a show. Parking can be hard to come by but if patient and have time you can wait for a parking spot to become available.

The cliff jump here is amazing! At about 25 feet high this is something for the whole family to experience. Don't think about it though, just get up there and go for it! An absolute must do if you're in the area!

Jump off a rock, laze in the sun, snorkel with the sea turtles, explore the surrounding areas. This is a great place to relax AND swim. The only downside is somewhat limited parking (we got lucky, after waiting in the parking lot for 3 minutes, someone left... right in front of us).

There is nothing better standing on a beach that looks just like a postcard. We were lucky to visit the beach on a calm day. The water was flat as and clear as day. It was like being in a swimming pool. Just be careful of your not a good swimmer. This beach is extremely deep. One step in and... More

Waimea bay is a must do! if the surf is pumping its great to watch, otherwise its a fantastic swimming and bodysurfing beach, or just a place to catch some sun! the road wraps around the beach and you get a great view coming either way, once you get down the water is so nice and clear and refreshing!

The most amazing stretch of beach on the north shore. We were able to swim and snorkel and enjoy watching people jump of the rock. Some points to note: 1. Parking is crazy. Park in the church car park and walk. There is a stair access just after the rocks to the beach. Can drop off your gear and then... More
