This is the Real Deal not a mega corporation tour. You get to walk among the trees, pick the nuts, crack them with a hammer, and enjoy them. You also get to taste Honey and Mustard made from Macadamia Nuts, and some fresh Coconut and Roasted Nuts. You will learn about the process (hand process that is). Purdy is an... More

4 of us arrived to the most educational and fun stop on the island. Our host took us on a journey from a small flower all the way to the final roasted and very tasty nut. We felt very special to be given such a tour. AND, we did not feel pressured to purchase anything. no "exit through the gift... More

The nut farm is fine, situated down the road from the coffee plantation in the lush trees and potentially interesting in good ways depending on the guide's demeanor. We must have caught him on a bad day, he was angry, confrontational, and argumentative. We kept a low profile through the tour, and were glad to get out. Later, I ask... More

Visiting Molokai's Macadamia Nut Farm was a memory-maker for us. I highly recommend that you devote ample time if visiting, otherwise the owner/operator/tourguide can become offensive and rude. Personally, I think he has eaten way too many nuts and has a serious attitude problem. It is truly a nut farm. We found the staff at the Molokai Coffee Plantation and... More

Mr. Purdy showed us how you grow and harvest mac nuts. He encourages questions and we learned a lot. These nuts have to preservatives or oils added, not processed like most macadamia nuts, just all natural. Next, you get to crack open and eat some raw nuts and then taste some roasted nuts. We also got to taste mac honey... More

We saw this on a day tour of Molokai. Mr. Purdy is very amiable and its fun to see the trees and his little demonstration. Excellent selection of macadamia products in the shop, as one would expect. More

This was very nice, the owners were very friendly and accommodating. It was very short but fun, you get to crack your own nuts at the end. More

Molokai is Hawaii's great little secret so don't tell anyone how relaxing this little Island is... Our outing to Purdy's found an experience typical of the laid back attitude and gentle fun you experience here. We arrived just in time to join several others in the explanation of how to grow, harvest and EAT these wonderful gifts from God. The... More

We went to Molokai for a week stay on the east side and drove over to the nut farm. Go hungry, because Tuddie won't let you buy anything until you eat some of his nuts. Get some Kukui oil too he sales for a friend. It is great stuff. Great aloha spirit is felt by all who enters the family... More
