You can fly in, hike in or the most popular is taking the mule ride down into the former leprosy colony. (Hansen’s disease) The worst part was making the reservation, we called and asked questions about all three alternatives, and the islander’s phone etiquette is different, very abrasive. We decided to hike down; we have hiked many different strenuous locations.... more

The woman who answers the phone is so rude, she hung up on me twice. I couldn't even book the tour. She shouted "what" down the phone & didn't seem interested at all in trying to get a booking. more
