If you just want to see the scenery on the East side of the peninsula, take a boat trip or kayak in the summer. The hike in and out was also great but the tour was a waste of time and money. We were crowded on a bus with 50 people, yes 50 people! To go around a 2 block... More

We visited the Kalaupapa settlement and took the tour in conjunction with Molokai Mule Ride, and it was an amazing experience. The mule skinners were very helpful, and the mules know exactly where to go. There was a small group of 5 on the mules the day we went, which made it nice. We were joined for the tour by... More

Woman who books reservations lacks the "Aloha Spirit", is very rude, sarcastic and very unprofessional. It seems I'm not the only one to share this opinion and experience.

The only way to participate in this tour is by air (fly in from Oahu or Maui), boat (there is a ferry), foot and/or mule. We chose to book an excursion with the Molokai Mule Ride. Only 18 people per day are allowed in Kalaupapa with a guide. The mule ride takes about 1 1/2 hours down a trail that... More

The hike down & back was fantastic. The tour? A colossal waste of money. FIFTY bucks/person to be stuck listening to ridiculous details about who lives where, when you can get gas, etc. It felt like we were being oriented as new residents rather than being provided an accurate, historic account of a dreadful era in Hawaii's history. Too much... More

My party of five was EXTREMELY disappointed with the Molokai tour upon our vacation to Maui last week. It was boring, to say the least, and did not meet the expectations that are advertised to lure visitors. The visit to the coffee plantation was a joke! Seeing the actual process of harvesting/roasting the coffee beans would have been nice, but... More

I have traveled the world and taken many tours but none have spiritually moved me as much as the Father Damien Tour of Molokai. Our guide, Yeayin, was exceptional. His attention to detail and knowledge of the area made for a very interesting day. As a young child, the story of Father Damien and Mother Maryanne was facinating to me.... More

The tour has been upgraded considerably. John, our local tour guide, was pleasant and fun and full of facts. He even sang a beautiful Hawaiian chant for us at the grave site of St. Marianne. The tour was equal parts history, religious pilgrimage, and awe-inspiring cliffline vistas. Tour was the only way to see "The Colony" and worth every penny.... More

I have been on this tour several times since the first time I went in 1975, there have been many changes and many fewer residents. The conservation work is continuous and the peninsula has much more vegetation now - lovely trees and ferns surround the ancient walls and the foundations of buildings no longer there. Old Kalawao town site is... More

Finally got a chance to visit Molokai for a day and I was not disappointed in this visit to the Kalaupapa national park. The views were absolutely beautiful. Those high sea cliffs are a sight to behold. We decided to do the hike down to Kalaupapa. I loved this hike! 6 Miles roundtrip along the cliffs & the path is... More
