This tour is rich with history and beauty. You’ll see two of Maui’s most popular sights: Iao Valley and Lahaina Town. Iao Valley is a tranquil, lush paradise of exotic plants and natural pools. During your journey into the valley, your guide will tell you about a famous battle that occurred in the area in 1790 that changed Hawaiian history forever. Rising 2,250 feet out of the earth you’ ll see a rock pinnacle, known as “Iao Needle.” This green stone pillar was used as a natural altar in ancient times. The top of the Iao Needle is sometimes hidden behind mist or clouds, but that often only adds to the drama of this extraordinary natural wonder. From there, you’ll head to the little historic fishing village of Lahaina. Now a mecca for shoppers and anyone seeking fun, it still harks back to the 1840s when up to four hundred whaling ships would anchor there. Check out the 110-year-old Banyan tree, the Pioneer Inn Hotel built in 1906, and the wharf’s bits of history that have been carefully preserved. Since the 1700s, when King Kamehameha made it his home, Lahaina has been a casual place of merriment. And it still is to this day.Iao Valley*Iao Needle*Lahaina*No host lunch* denotes stops made.

i recently booked a tour to travel around the big island while staying in Hawaii and when we arrived on the big island we had to wait for the bus for about 30 minutes and when it did arrive what we got was a brand new bus i thought great comfort but was not so comfortable as we got told... More

This was not only educational but enjoyable. My children are 6 & 13. They really had fun and learned lots of new things. Have your cameras ready for all the photo opportunities.

The crater was clouded over so we didn't see the stars or sunrise. But that is not in Robert's Tours control of course. But what they can control they did so well. Stephen our guide was excellent. He was quiet and let us sleep on the way up. Very informative and personable the rest of the time. Provided great snacks... More

We recently toured with a group that used this company on 3 different island and had great experiences with each tour. Luke, Kimo, Ty? We're some of the names I remember but they were all very good!

I had a marvelous view of Maui led by Bjorn where I saw many parts of the island that I feel sure I would have missed with any other guide. I appreciated all the visuals he provided that gave us a better view of the history and culture of the island through the use of pictures and hands-on items. I... More

Robert's Hawaii is one of the big tour operators in Hawaii and their tours are competitive price-wise. Our pick up was punctual and the tour guide was knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. The buses are new and comfortable with lots of leg space. The group size was not more than 20. My BIGGEST complaint (hence the poor rating) was the amount... More

We booked this tour through our hotel. We picked this tour because the attractions we were to see -The Iao Needle and the town of Lahiaina were within a 15 minute drive of out hotel. When they picked us up at hotel we were driven 45 minutes to another location to meet with the tour group. If we had known... More

What an amazing way to end our 8 days in Hawaii. After cruising the Islands on The Pride of America we took this tour before we headed back home. Other than making it a very long day with a 12+ hour flight home, I am surely glad we booked this trip to Pearl Harbor and the Downtown Tour. What an... More

We booked our tours over the internet, rather than buying shore excursions. Our driver Dean was knowledgeable and very funny. The trip included Rainbow Falls and a visit to an coffee plantation, an orchid farm, a chocolate factory, and a macadamia processing plant. Lots of opportunity for shopping. The volcano was just sputtering, a mere crumb in comparison to Yellowstone... More

I was a Roberts Hawaii shuttle going through town and called their number since they advertised shuttle service to the airport. Apparently they do more "tours" than shuttle service after checking out Tripadvisor upon returning home, which have lackluster reviews. In any event, at the time I arranged for them to pick up my Aunt and Uncle at their hotel... More
