Be prepared for a massive amount of tourists from several snorkeling charters. No one watches where they are swimming either, make sure you take some type of PFD along with you for safety precautions.(I don't snorkel with a PFD typically, but I was not about to drown from a kick to the head) There are tons of fish to see... Molokini crater was one of my favourite excursions while visiting Maui. The visibility was 150-200 feet below which allowed us to see all the beautiful coral reef and countless tropical fish. Considering this was my first ever snorkeling experience, I have a feeling nothing else will quite compare! Highly recommended :) I can't wait to go back again.

We went with Seafire after reading all their wonderful reviews. We were.not disappointed. Amazing. Kind, caring and genuine staff. We saw whales, countless turtles, a few harmless resting sharks and other amazing marine life. I could not give a higher recommendation.

The fish, the clarity and the calmness of the water will amaze you. Perfect spot for experienced and inexperienced -- young and old. Not to be missed.

My wife and I booked a snorkel trip to Molokini Crater and "Turtle Town" with Boss Frog's tours. We have snorkeled in multiple countries and had heard great things about Molokini Crater. Well I'm not sure if these people have ever snorkeled before because we saw only a few fish and NOTHING worth staying in the water for. I happened... More

The volcano crater looked great, but the reef does not seem to be in a very healthy condition. It felt like there were more people than fish in the water. Will not come back.

It's not every day you get a chance to swim in a volcano crater with coral surroundings. There was plenty of marine life and even though there were other boat tours we didn't feel the area we snorkelled in was crowded. All in all it was a great experience and one that must be done if you're ever in Maui.

Go out early in the morning with a nice boat company. Snorkeling is awesome with great visability, it definitely was the best thing to do on the Maui trip.

Do this in the morning when water is calmer than afternoon. This is a marine sanctuary and is the best snorkeling I have ever seen. Reported 180 feet visibility , and I believe it. Crystal clear water like no place in the Caribbean I have snorkeled. Like diving into an aquarium. Beautiful fish and coral. This is ideal for first... More

Just let yourself float and let your body totally relax....listen to your own breathing through the snorkel...and be amazed by the beauty, variety, and fascination of the underwater world. I saw a Moray eel and followed it for about 5 minutes! I had hoped to see a reef shark but didn't. Saw at least 25 varieties of the most gorgeous,... More
