My husband was very skeptical about doing this especially with the price and the early start (7am departure) but we are REALLY pleased we did it. The conditions were splendid and the water visibility was great. This really was like looking into a swimming pool with fish and corals! The service was excellent and the food was also good and... We did a tour with that included Molokini The whole boat ride was very picturesque Visibility was great (15 - 20 metres) and the water temperature was sensational but where were was all the wildlife. But other than after all the other boats arrived it felt like there were more people than fish. After all the build up, the way they... More

The day we went, the waves were rough and the touring boat should have taken us to a different location. The water is very clear, and the coral good, but the fish are few and far between - very surprised. I would recommend saving your money and hit some of the good snorkeling spots on Maui beaches, such as Black... More

Great trip out to Molokini withTrilogy on a catamaran. Great attentive crew who were so dedicated to their roles as guides, snorkellers, cooks and servers. The crater was great to snorkel in for the range of fish and coral and the turtles. An excellent day out!

Was an hour and half boat ride to the location. Weather was partly cloudy. Water temperature fine. There were four other tour boats there. Guides didn't want you to venture too far from the boat-100 yards. The view from sky looks great. Should allow to explore the crater rim, even on open ocean side. Stayed less than an hour. On... We used one of the tours from Maalaea to go snorkeling in the location. Good: Water was clear. Beautiful fish. Fun boat ride. Bad: Waves were really high and with a 3 year old, it got tricky. Definitely take an underwater camera and maybe your personal snorkeling equipment if you do not want to use the one provided by the... More

If you've ever done a boat cruise with snorkeling and lunch before, it's pretty much that. If not, basically they take you out to the crater and set you loose to snorkel or do snuba (a separate paid activity that is pretty fun!). Then they provide lunch which was pretty decent. Lots of colorful fish and the water is crystal... More

I was lucky enough to Snorkel at Molokini Crater on a Charter run by the Pacific Whale Foundation. The water at the crater was so clear that it was a great place to snorkel. After Molokini we went to Turtle Arches in the hope that we would get the change to snorkel with Sea Turtles. The care shown by the... More

We took a boat over to Molokini Crater to snorkel and it was great. The water was clear and the opportunity to see a variety of fish was wonderful. We even saw a sand shark. There were lots of tour boats, with lots of people, but it was still a great experience.

Super cool experience and tour, we used Trilogy tours, while its a very big boat you'll enjoy the large group while in water and you don't feel like cattle at all. Stop at turtle town first then the crater. FYI, there is no turtle town, we stopped just off Makena Landing, turtle town is Maui marketing hard at work. Some... More
