We took Kai Kanani to Molokini Crater. We were grateful a calm and clear day. The ride to the Crater was only about 30 minutes and when we arrived it was packed. Our captain took a little ride around and when we did get there, many of the boats had moved on. The visibility was the best I've ever experienced.... More

My daughter and I booked a morning snorkeling cruise to the Molokini crater and turtle town through the Pacific Whale Foundation. The price was comparable to other outfits and the profits go to a worthwhile cause so that's a good thing. Check in was at 6:15 am so be prepared for an early start to the day. We boarded the... It was a great experience. For me it was 1st time snorkeling and Diving in open sea. Water was very clean and full of marine world. Captain of the Boat Mr John was really good and had great sense of humor....It was an unforgettable experience.

We took a dive/snorkel trip out to Molokini, and we had a great day! It's not a long boat ride out, so getting seasick wasn't an issue. The day couldn't have been any prettier, but isn't every day pretty in Maui?? :) It wasn't crowed at all when we were there in the morning, and the water wasn't too chilly.... More

Some of use dived and the rest snorkelled. The visibility is some of the best in the world even on a bad day. 50metres looks like 20. Special. We saw white tip sharks and some passing grey reef Sharks. Big barracuda, crown of thorns, puffer fish to name but a few. It's definitely overcrowded but that can't be helped due... More

My 3 college sons booked a full day dive trip to Molokini Crater through Rich at Maui Diving. The trip was fabulous, the boat was great, and the scenery was even better. They saw dolphin, rays, turtles and every fish imaginable. Thanks for the memories - it was awesome!

I know this place is a gem to many and a cash cow to the State and tour operators but wow what a let down. After a one hour boat ride we tethered up amongst at least a dozen other boats. 3 days of strong northwest trades reduced visibility to about 60 feet and there were so many people in... More

We were there June 7 2015. Lots of small black fish, a total of 3 yellow fish and several sea urchins.period. Not worth the $$.

This is a flourishing marine environment that is very clear with a number of different fish species swirling about. It was my first time snorkeling and I was quite afraid, but once I dove in, all my concerns dissipated -such beauty! We also got to snorkel on the back of Molokini crater and that was a bit scarier as the... More

We were the first boat in Molokini Crater on Kai Kanani. We had the water all to ourself the entire time and the water was clear and calm. We were able to see a variety of fish and the experience was a lifetime memory. A beautiful nature conservatory that should be on your Maui "to do" list!
