Beautiful views at every corner you turn. Wonderful people along the way. Pack a picnic lunch with drinks find a beach to park at and enjoy the view. Also, stop in at some of the road side stands that offer area fresh friuts and bakery items. The road is very narrow and only one lane in spots so be sure... More

the drive is very long and winding. definitely take some dramamine if you're prone to sea sickness. but the views are incredible and beautiful with multiple stops for photops along the way. leave early as the two lane road tends to get congested around 10am when the tour buses arrive. also there are no gas stations or bathrooms on the... The drive on the Hana Highway is a must do. It has the most beautiful sceneries. The drive itself can be a little crazy but it is fun. Drive slow and stop when you can to take picture and enjoy the awesomeness. Expect to spend all day on the drive. There are road side places to stop and eat but... More

Enjoy every moment of this incredible journey, but start as soon after sunrise as you can! Unless you are planning to stay overnight in Hana, taking the road back is less relaxing if you are racing against the sunset. If you see sites that interest you along the way, try to stop when you are en route. You will remember... More

We had a lovely day driving the Highway to Hana.We went with a local tour guide who we met because his partner gave us a business card out of the window of his car while we were walking! Great marketing I thought !Its a VERY windy road so not for those prone to car sickness! The views are spectacular! On... More

There is a reason the Hana Highway is rated one of the best drives in the world. Me and my wife drove its length 4 times. Every time we did, we found another gem. We didnt do a lot of planning before we drove it (we like to discover ourselves) and you really dont need to. There are markers and... More

Maui's Hana Highway is perhaps one of the most scenic drives in the world. Once I read about the 617 curves and 56 bridges we decided to take the organized mini bus tour organized by Pleasant Holidays at Royal Lahaina Resort. Our driver Richard, picked us up at 6:30 AM and after a short stop for breakfast we were on... More

For the brave of heart but well worth the trip. You travel around the whole island with breathtaking views. The road is bad, no question about it. Single lane (two way traffic) and very rough in manyb places but the panoramic views are fantastic. Waterfalls abound as do sheer cliffs. Starting from the far side of the island places you... More

It's about the journey! You'll want to stop and take a picture every where, but be careful where you stop! It is a very narrow winding road for about 3 hours. There are waterfalls at some of the stops. The view areas are worth pulling over for because seeing the color of the sea is so amazing! Green trees and... More
