Wailea Beach holds a special spot in our hearts. We were married on the overlook above Wailea Beach in 2006. The beach itself sits right in front of the Grand Wailea, such a beautiful hotel! The water on Wailea Beach is never too rough and provides for hours of leisurely swimming and snorkeling. The walking path through Wailea runs right... More

Offered by Norwegian Cruise Line, Pride of America sailing around HI islands. The beach is very, very nice and food and drink is available for cash. Beach chairs, not lounge chairs, are free and umbrellas are available for a fee. There is a reef for snorkeling and there are quite a few fish - I highly recommend at least a... More

In mid-March 2014, we went beach hopping on Maui. One of the beaches we visited was Wailea Beach (also known as "Secret Beach"). It was stunning! There were beautiful views of an island in the distance, and a cross along the rocky shore that blended into the lush tropical landscape. I highly recommend that you see this beach while on... More

There are no private beaches in Maui as far as I know but the Wailea Resort workers will have you believe it is theirs. Just ignore them and go about your day. The beach itself is really great. Soft sand, great boogie boarding and snorkeling. Go early to get parking. We got there by 9 and we always found a... More

Wailea is a beautiful beach, typical of Maui. Soft sand, no rocks or shells when you walk into the ocean, easy access to the Grand Wailea and Four Seasons if you want to grab some lunch or a snack or drink. You can also rent kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, etc. from the Grand Wailea even if you are not a... More

My husband and I just returned from 10 days on Maui. Most of our time was spent at the Marriott Wailea Resort. This beach is right next to it. It was great! Not to crowded. Whales could be seen in the distance.

We loved this beach. Usually we stay up in Kaanapali where the beach is much more steep and the undertow makes it hard to swim. Wailea is very flat and it's easy to swim esp with children. We visited Ulua/mokapu etc but found that wailea had it all. We stayed at the Marriott and they dont have umbrellas on the... More

We loved this beach1 Went snorkeling & a giant sea turtle swam right between my legs.! Saw lots of fish as well. The waves were easy because of the break. It is a bit of a hike to get to the beach from parking area but quite nice.

Soft sand. Beautiful beach. Great place for photos. Seeing lots of people engaged in snorkeling and other water spots. Will have to give it a try.
