Maybe we got lucky, but we saw and swam with a group of about a dozen sea turtles when we went snorkeling here in September. Needless to say, it was awesome. The physical coral reef wasn't nearly as beautiful as ones I've seen in the Caribbean, but there were some cool fish, and of course the turtles. The beach itself... More

The best snorkeling I did on Kauai. Saw a sea turtle and thousand of colorful fish. If you enjoy snorkeling this is a must go to. Make sure you go past the initial reef and get out to some of the deeper parts.

This beach is at the end of the road on the north shore well worth the drive no matter where you stay. There is some of the best surfing and snorkeling on the island. They have improved the road to get there over the years and the views are awesome!

Framed by the edge of the Napoli coast, the view towards the western end of the beach is simply stunning. The beach didn't have many people on it when I've visited and the snorkeling is excellent. Out of all the beaches I've visited on the 4 main Hawaiian islands this beach is by far my favorite.

Although the lifeguards said snorkeling was poor for us Northern folks it was the best we'd seen. Nothing like watching the Parrot Fish feed and attempting to keep up with the giant sea turtles. If you can make it here to snorkel do so.

One of the most beautiful beaches in all of Hawaii for swimming, snorkeling and scenery is Tunnels Beach. Green jagged peaks ring the beach. The wide-fringing reef offshore makes for some superb snorkeling. You could easily spend the whole day in this tranquil setting. But get there as early as possible for one of the few parking spots. Look for... More

This review is definitely all about the snorkeling, but the beach itself is so beautiful and serene. We got here at 8:30am because all of the locals said it gets packed, which it does. We jumped into the ocean and swam around this beautiful reef that is clearly much more alive then most in Hawaii. We saw yellow, blue and... More

I was able to see this area from a boat and actually sailed inside the mouth of one of the tunnels. I understand that it is also possible to hike there as well but it would be a rough hike and take a good deal of time. I recommend taking a tour boat and making sure that it goes up... More

Arrived in the afternoon to snorkel and had no trouble parking at Ha'ena Beach and walking along the water 1/3 mile to Tunnels. There aren't any markers to tell you that you' ex arrived, but you'll be able to see the path that leads away from the beach up to the Tunnels Beach parking area. The water was warm though... More
