This review is definitely all about the snorkeling, but the beach itself is so beautiful and serene. We got here at 8:30am because all of the locals said it gets packed, which it does. We jumped into the ocean and swam around this beautiful reef that is clearly much more alive then most in Hawaii. We saw yellow, blue and... More

I was able to see this area from a boat and actually sailed inside the mouth of one of the tunnels. I understand that it is also possible to hike there as well but it would be a rough hike and take a good deal of time. I recommend taking a tour boat and making sure that it goes up... More

Arrived in the afternoon to snorkel and had no trouble parking at Ha'ena Beach and walking along the water 1/3 mile to Tunnels. There aren't any markers to tell you that you' ex arrived, but you'll be able to see the path that leads away from the beach up to the Tunnels Beach parking area. The water was warm though... More

Parking can be a challenge, but a great place to dive. We did it two days in a row. Saw a seal on the first day, which I understand is rare. Not crowded. Just don't park in the no parking area. We didn't but saw tickets on the cars of those who did.

This was our second snorkel destination (we went to Anini beach first which wasn't good at all). Tunnels was amazing and is the only place you should go! I swam with a sea turtle, and there were so many beautiful fish. It was a great place to go. If you are in Kauai, go snorkeling at tunnels for sure. If... More

Wonderful day trip resting on the beach at Tunnels. It is not the easiest place to find, so look for cars parked down a residential street, the dirt path is at the end of the street. If you have hit the Dry Cave and the public beach, coming from Princeville, you have gone to far. Expect that parking is not... More

If you want to see sea life, this is your spot! It's like swimming in an aquarium. While Snorkeling, we saw thousands of fish, shells, multiple green sea turtles, and so much reef life, you can't see it all! This is a great place to come and experience sea life up close!

Visited Tunnels today did swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. All good. The sand here is great, although for younger children, or seniors, be careful as the sand drops off abruptly and water becomes deeper quickly. Not unsafe but be informed. There is a lifeguard station here which increases safety. Water quality excellent, although clarity for snorkeling is just good, not excellent.... More

Big rocks and with crashing waves, it's hard to see them. Found I manged my legs/knees a lot on them. The beach though is nice. Not crowded. Caves were also fun to go in
