A very stunning setting. Aqua water with coral trailing throughout and the edge of the Na'Pali Coast's towering green Bali Hai (Makana Mountain) staring at you from the left. Cannot comment on the quality of the snorkeling as we were too afraid to go very far so only saw few fish. Our kids loved playing in the sand and in... More

Beach: Sitting next to the mountains, the beach has a beautiful backdrop. It is clean. It can get crowded during the day, but parking is limited meaning it was never that crowded. Snorkeling: Tunnels is amongst the best snorkeling spots in Kaua'i. However we see a little less every time we go because corals are dying. Diving: Shore-diving at Tunnels... More

We drove up to this beach at the beginning of our trip on a Tuesday morning. We got there very early and it was a bit overcast so we basically had the beach to ourselves. After walking around and taking in the beautiful views of Bali Hai the sun came out and reflected on the beautiful clear aqua water. It... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our wedding ceremony on this beautiful beach. Absolutely breathtaking views. Got there early in order to find parking spot and before the tide came in

This is a beautiful beach and well worth a visit. However it is located at the end of the windy hwy in a part of the island with narrow roads and one-lane bridges. This beach is very popular with limited parking. I would recommend arriving early.

Nice picturesque sandy beach but waves are huge and unless you are a confident swimmer, I would not try swimming there. The day we went, the waves were really pounding. It's a popular North Shore beach and parking can be difficult at peak hours. Try getting there early or in late afternoon. Recommend a visit if only to sit on... More

Very long beach with plenty of room to find a good spot. The snorkeling was the best we had seen on the island. Lots of places with shade if you don't want to be in the sun all day. Parking was the only draw back. We were lucky enough to get a spot after someone was leaving right as we... More

The beach itself was great, not crowded, with lovely sand and a beautiful view of the mountains. The surf kept us out of the water for a couple days, and even when we could snorkel we couldn't go very far out to the distant reefs. But within 10 metres out we still saw plenty of fish. The weather truly is... More

Such a stunning location. We stopped to play and build sand castles on the beach. It was lightly raining but so beautiful with surfers attempting to run the waves. The sand was a perfect consistency for making sand castles. The beach was not that day conducive to swimming but all in all a stunning location.

Tunnels Beach was probably our favorite beach on the island. It just worked out perfectly on our last trip up to the north shore. We were near the end of the day at about 4:00, after a great hike on the Kalalau Trail. We drove back from Ke'e beach to Ha'ena Beach Park. If you do research on Tunnels, you... More
