Capt. Andy's Southern Star was a wonderful choice for my husband & I. The weather was perfect, sunny skies and blue, calm waters. The crew was excellent and attentive, Mike, our ships captain, took us all the way up the Na Pali coast and put us right on the humpback whales, jumping out of the waters!! Truly majestic! The sunset... More

No one can begin to tell you what you are going to see, whether you view it from a helicopter or from a catamaran. It is simply amazing. Book a trip early in your visit in case the weather punks out and you have to reschedule. Trust me; it is worth every penny. You will never forgive yourself if you... More

My husband and I booked a tour with Captain Andy . Best tour we have ever taken. We where lucky to have calm water and where able to go all the way up the Na Pali coast. We seen whales breaching, dolphins jumping and spinning. We swam with turtles. Captain Andy's was great. The boat was clean and the crew... More

Na Pali State Park, the phenomenally rugged, yet lush west side of the island is a fascinating terrain that is a challenge to see, daring visitors to explore. Helicopters, boats, or hikers are pretty much the only ways to view as motor vehicles are not allowed. Na Pali is best known for its magnificent coast with cliffs rising up to... More

We have seen the Na Pali coast from a helicopter and that is spectacular. It may be better from a catamaran. We had a great time on a combined snorkel and Na Pali coast tour. During the cruise we also saw many, many whales including several that were leaping out of the water. Awesome experience and just added to the... More

Whether hiking it or viewing from a boat - it's like being in Jurassic Park without the dinosaurs. My boat tour was cancelled because a boat hit a whale, and then rebooked and cancelled due to weather. So book the boat trip early in case of rescheduling. I never made it on the water but the hike was challenging and... More

Kathy and I visited Kauai in 2011. We only had 3 days to take it all in. The Na Pali Coast was breathtaking. In 2014 we went back for 8 days to experience the island in more detail. We were able to take in the Na Pali Coast by air, land and sea. We took a doors off ride with... More

If you can find parking it's a nice place to go and hike ... A little crowded for my taste but you cannot deny the views . Like I said , parking is a problem and the trails are not exactly easy to manage . so you have to be in decent shape to climb , it's rocky and uneven... More

This is one of the most amazing trail to walk on. Granted it's crowded with admirers, it is one of the must dos in Hawaii. This alone makes Kauai worth the trip. You can look close and far, nothing disappoints on this trail. It's not very strenuous, just make sure you wear comfy shoes and clothes. My husband did it... More

This was, by far, one of our favorite experiences during our time in both Kauai and Maui. We hiked along the Hanakapi'ai Trail to the falls and back, a total of 8 miles. Every step was worth it. The first 2 miles offers stunning views of the coast, and the 2 mile hike inland to the waterfall feels like Jurassic... More
