I had the full Hawaiian package - the bath outdoors, the lomi lomi massage and the facial. here's the breakdown…the bath was in a lovely outdoor lava setting, full of bubbles and flowers and so lovely, but the tub is Huge and I found it better to sit than lay…also, it was hot. really really hot so id say the... My girlfriend came to the Big Island for a visit, and we decided to get massages. We looked on-line for prices, amenities & location on the west side of Hawaii. We zero'd in on the Mauna Lani Spa. We decided to go here because we could get a massage outside in a hut, and use the facilities for free as... More

My wife spent the day at the spa, while I did a helicopter tour. I highly recoomend Blue Hawaiian tours, also reviewed on TripAdvisor, and no I don't work for them. I returned to Mauna Lani for a couple's lomi-lomi massage. It was very expensive, but honestly the best couples' massage we've ever received. Also the first time we were... More

We were staying at the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and decided to take the short (two minute) bike ride to the spa and have a massage. It was kind of comical that they charge an extra $15 for a "deep tissue" (the extra things hotels are coming up with to pad the bills are exhausting). Nonetheless, we both loved our... More

All I can say is "WOW." Pamper yourself at this incredible outdoor spa and listen to the sounds of the ocean while you get massaged. The Mauna Lani Spa is beautiful and a delight to spend time in. Enjoy!

My husband has been going to the Mauna Lani Spa for about 7 years now. Had a great experience with Arnel who is no longer with the Mauna Lani ( he is now at the Four Season's spa and is FABULOUS!!) My husband always asks for a deep tissue, 80 minute and requests a male who is very strong. This... More

My wife and I have been to this spa twice and hav liked it both times. This time, we arrived and I was taken back to the locker area. Very nice. They offer a free foot bath which, trust me, wasn't much. You sit with your feet in this bowl with warm water and some oils or something. It's nice... More

I agree with DianeCanada609. This spa is nice, but not "one of the world's best." Here's the breakdown. Front Desk: The gentleman who took the reservation and attends the front desk deserves an A++. He is personable, very accommodating, and oozes "aloha spirit." Changing/Waiting Room: The lady who attended the changing room did a great job. She was knowledgeable, accommodating,... More

Very dated waiting area. Certainly not up to standards of other resort spas I've been to. Front desk staff very nice. Locker room area very small and did not even have hair brushes for use. Massage outside was nice but outside waiting room small and not luxurious. Expected much more because of its rating of top 10 in Hawaii.
