We booked a sunset ride for just the 2 of us and it was wonderful. It had been at least 40 years since either of us had been on a horse (call it NO Prior experience!) so we weren't sure what we were getting into. The pace was perfect, the horses were lovely and very responsive, and our wrangler completely... More

We rode on Wed 2/25/15. This is a truly beautiful area and the wranglers seemed friendly and good with the horses. The barn is well equipped with items you probably did not travel from the mainland with. We decided to see this part of the island from horseback because the firm emphasized quality horses and opportunities for open range riding.... More

Cantering across brilliant green hills and valleys overlooking a cobalt blue Hawaiian ocean on beautifully trained horses can be your experience as ours was at Paniolo Adventures. Our enthusiastic guide Jackie, originally from a Colorado ranch, was full of wonderful information about the ranch and environment on Hawaii besides being the best guide we'd ever had among numerous horseback rides.... I have been living on the Big Island all winter and I have tried every place to ride. The wranglers (guides) are not only knowledgeable but the really care about their customers. As for the scenery...it is totally amazing! I ride almost every week and I see different scenery each time. I have already exceeded 1,000 photos on my phone... More

I went on the Sunset Ride with Jackie. She is really an amazing guide! Funny, caring, positive and professional. She made sure our group of 6 had a really wonderful time. The photos she took were a great keep-sake. Thanks! The stable is well managed and the horses are well cared for. There are boots and jackets for those who... More

As an experienced horse rider, I'm always wary of the trail rides that even the horses are bored with. But my horse Nalu was not only easy to ride, he had a cheerful disposition that helped provide one of the best rides I've had in years. All of the people that work here are wonderful, happy and helpful!

We visited for a sunset ride. It was beautiful on the countryside, very friendly horses and guides make you feel welcome and comfortable. This was a wonderful experience to share. Highly recommend it!

My husband and I had a 4 hour private ride and could have not have been more pleased. After being rained out the day we had originally reserved, Paniolo worked us in another day. The horses are well trained and the staff does a good job of fitting the horse to the rider. Boots, hats and dusters were available if... More

We took the 2.5 hour Paniolo ride which includes trotting and cantering. (Several other rides are available) After arriving we were told we could outfit ourselves with boots, hats, and dusters for the ride. We were given riding and safety instructions by our guide Mano, and than introduced to and mounted our selected horses. Our guide was informative and amusing.... More

My husband and I signed up to do the picnic lunch ride (3 hours) and ended up being the only people for the ride, so it was great to have our own private ride. The guide was a really nice, funny guy, Mano, and he let us do our own thing. It was more like having a chaperone rather than... More
