Me and my bf rent a kayak down the road from Marley's rental. Very reasonable price $ 40 for a double from 8-4pm. He also provide life jacket and dry bag and watch for our valuables. and it save you alot of time and effort to rent from other "big" companies, like kona boy, etc. b/c you don't have to... More

We took a Fairwinds Snorkeling tour to Captian cook Monument and it was a blast. The monument area is lovely, the water gorgeous (but DEEP and a bit scary), and we enjoyed the trip/views immensely. Definitely worth your time on this one! More

The Captain Cook Monument itself is small and beginning to look unkempt but the big drawcard here is the snorkelling, but other than that the day was... Amazing! We took a Kayak over to Captain Cook Monument then went Snorkelling. The water was so clear, the coral so colourful and beautiful and full of life (and we have been snorkelling... More

The monument itself is relatively small - but it is what it commemorates that is important. That said, I really went for the snorkelling and was not disappointed. Lots of fish of many varieties. Water was clear and calm. I went with FourWinds because they were the first company I came to in my Google search that had real time... More

This was absolutely the best snorkeling i've ever done and i've snorkeled in the Caribbean, florida keys and mexico. we rented a kayak and paddled 1 mile across, the cool part was the spinner dolphins in the bay on the way. they literally would jump out of the water and spin. We got out of the kayak and swam with... More

This is a really nice snorkle spot. Best way to access is by a boat tour or by kyaking. I did the former. Not disappointed at all. Fair Winds, I believe, was the name of the boat. Really great place to snorkle. I would recommend. More

I went snorkeling in 3 different places on my 1 week trip to kona. Captain Cook was definetly my least favorite. The water is unclear and shallow. You have to kayak about 1 1\2 miles to get there. I was told they had turtles and dolphins, this was the only place I didn't see a turtle. I only saw fish.... More

Rather than book one of those expensive boat tours, we rented a double kayak from Aloha Kayak (5 stars) and paddled our way across Kealakekua Bay. What a great way to spend the day. The snorkling was wonderful and the highlight of the day was encountering the pod of dolphins as we returned in the afternoon. More
