This is a fun stop after visiting botanical gardens, waterfalls, and the Hilo area. They have lots of samples. Plus, if there is something you would like to try but they don't have a sample out, just ask. I love cookies. My favorite is the Macadamia Nut Shortbread Cookies. My wife liked the chocolate. It's fun to also watch them... More

As you walk in you receive a sample of candy and coffee. Can't beat a welcome like this! The chocolate macadamia nut and potato chip candy is especially delicious! Everything is very well organized, clean and they have a wide range of choices of chocolate and other goodies. You can see into the area where they manufacture the chocolate. They... More

You get greeted by sample chocolates. Then you get samples of different chocolate/cookie products. Get to see the candies and cookies made in the factory. Everything looked neat and clean. Important part is everything is freshly made. Option to buy stuff there. Little overpriced though.

We had lunch in town, and stopped here before heading for the other side of the island. We were offered coffee as we walked in, and watched the assembly line of ladies hand-forming the delectable treats. We sampled, and chatted, and bought several boxes to take home for gifts. Highly recommend making this a stop while you're in Hilo.

Whenever I visit Hilo, Big Island Candies is a must-stop place. The many chocolate-dipped cookies here are delicious--and there are always free samples, along with Kona coffee. Visitors can see the production lines and the many staffers dipping the cookies into their chocolate bowls. This is really a great place to visit.

Great place to stop on the way to the Volcano, or when visiting Hilo. We walked in and where immediately handed a few yummy samples and some Kona Coffee. Wandering around the warehouse there are samples of cookies and chocolates everywhere. We tasted a bunch and then bought a bunch, (I think we bought almost everything we sampled). Our favourite...
