My wife and I have enjoyed our walks along the river and watch the birds in the area. While there is not more you can do, it is a peaceful walk with easy excess. Parking close by can be a problem. But is ample parking around the area.

Great place to read a book, enjoy the river or enjoy a walk. Staff and I sat on the benches and enjoyed a conversation. Some also enjoyed smokes and wine.

Sorry folks this is a waste of space. It was very disappointing. When I first moved to Augusta I was told to make sure I visit the river walk and what a let down. The parking lot was unpaved and full of pot holes and mud puddles not to mention "Train Tracks" ran through it. The actual river walk itself... More

This is a nice daytime stroll. I would not walk near or after dark. Look for shows in the theater, they are good.

Walked down James Brown Boulevard to the sight of a fountain and views of the river. Walked down the brick steps and along the river with views of the ornate mansions across the water. Interesting sights and benches along the way. Very relaxing!

Nice bit of nature and culture in a bustling downtown area. We enjoyed learning about the local history. Very calming. The ampitheatre is really cool.

It's an OK walk along a bit of river front, either on top or in front of the levy. Some of it feels a bit shabby and we saw several posters for the riverwalk revival project, so others must feel the same. Really, if I hadn't noticed it was already on Tripadvisor I don't think I'd even of bothered to... More

This is a very nice spot to go for a walk, jog or even sit down relax and read a nice book while taking in the breeze near the water. Very relaxing...

I was in town for Ironman 70.3 and was very impressed with the riverwalk area. If you are looking for a nice place to take a walk and sit along the water then this is your place.

I've always enjoyed walking along the top of the levy in the downtown area, very picturesque. I'm always amazed at the flood marking on the levy showing how high the floods have been over the years. If you time it for Saturday mornings you can see the The Augusta Market at the River. The people who worry must be walking... More
