This is a very nice spot to go for a walk, jog or even sit down relax and read a nice book while taking in the breeze near the water. Very relaxing...

I was in town for Ironman 70.3 and was very impressed with the riverwalk area. If you are looking for a nice place to take a walk and sit along the water then this is your place.

I've always enjoyed walking along the top of the levy in the downtown area, very picturesque. I'm always amazed at the flood marking on the levy showing how high the floods have been over the years. If you time it for Saturday mornings you can see the The Augusta Market at the River. The people who worry must be walking... More

I am stationed at Fort Gordon and I was told to come to the Riverwalk. My friend and I actually had our weddings on the Riverwalk. The history behind it is interesting and it is beautiful. Nice, calm, relaxing environment.

if you're into nature the trail is beautiful and full of nature sounds. The dock is a wonderful resting place to talk and admire the sky lights. Its very romantic, great for a first date, a quite place to and get to know one another.

Visited during the July 4 week. Good place to see the fireworks off the bridge. Visited again during the day; appeared to be safe during the day. Not sure how safe at night.

Be sure to visit the Riverwalk and see some beautiful homes along the Savannah river. There a placards along the way that give you insights into Augusta -- from Golf (of course) to sports on the river, to how Augusta was founded and why it remains a popular destination today. The walk is paved, pleasant and most enjoyable.

Read about safety issues. Walked the river walk at 3pm on a weekday. There were very few people on the walk it seemed kind of weary. One homeless gent was sleeping on a bench. He got up and followed us for a bit and then broke off. All in all the river scene was pretty and scenic.

The town has done a great job in this design with a high walk and a low walk. Lots of benches and picnic tables and tons of trees. Saturday farmer's market going on along one of the approach streets. A few spots along the lower walk could have benefited from a little leaf/sand blowing.
