Visited at dawn on a weekday as I was heading out of town after a business trip. No one else was around, and I had the place to myself. The reflections of the sunrise on the water, the thousands of birds singing, and the possibility of seeing an alligator in the weeds combined to make it an unforgettable experience!

This is a wonderful place to walk around and take in the flora and fauna. I saw many interesting birds, snakes, lizards, and mushrooms.

I was here for Halloween for the annual camp out. Area was clean restrooms were adequate. It was quiet unexpectedly as it is near a highway and airport.

The raised walkways through the swamp are just amazing. We've seen snakes, huge spiders, otters, and fish, and never tire of "let's just watch a little longer to see what else will appear" with my pre teens. A camera is a must! Almost everything is level- not a lot of ups and downs, and there are several directions to walk... More

My husband, two step kids, and I went here for an afternoon walk, and it was very beautiful. I honestly didn't think that it was going to be as pretty as it was, being a swamp, but it's great. It was a little hot when we went, and the trail is long (you can cut it short at almost any... More

I attended a photography class out here and we took some photos. My friend and I took a hike and continued our photography. I enjoyed my time. It's a nice place to get back to enjoy nature.

If you have a few hours to kill, this is a perfect place to chill and wind down. Take your sneakers just in case, there are alligators around !

I am constantly looking for nature areas, and Phinizy Swamp Nature Park is a peaceful, gorgeous place to take a stroll on a beautiful day. The boardwalk area is decent for a basic stroller, although some of the outer areas of trails may require a jogging stroller. There are some trails in the woods/dirt that are nice. Wasn't able to... There is something for most everyone at the Phinizy Swamp. I recently attended NATURE PRINTING on cloth one SAT for 6 hours and NATURE PRINTING on paper one Sat for 6 hours. This offered once a year and was well worth my time and money. Had so much fun and learned so much I hope to repeat the experience next... More
