Nice walking trails, good place to go to enjoy the outdoors. Does not cost anything. We took our 2 dogs and walked the trails. Places to sit and rest. Plaques through out telling you about the wildlife. We actually seen a beaver. Would be great for the kids.

Great to take the children for a nature walk. They especially liked the Spanish moss, the boardwalk, and the quiet surroundings.

Made the mistake of visiting around noon in the middle of June. From what I see up until I could not endure the 100 degree heat anymore was quite beautiful and we'll maintained. I look forward to making it back for a day trip

It's a swamp, so it takes some work, but there is a lot of subtle beauty to this place. Great rangers, nice remote location.

Nice boardwalk close to the visitor's center. Multiple trails that take you around the swamp areas. Lots of wildlife to see - birds, alligators, turtles.

This is a neat place for families or people that just want to take a leisurely outdoor walk. You can bring your dogs with you as well, just keep them on a leash. After you park, check out the map and decide where you want to go. There are miles of trails, with cool little bridges and wooden paths. What... More

We went here for Mother's Day and loved it. It made me so happy to see the boys having so much fun on the trails and bridges. They went to school the next day telling the teacher everything they saw: snake, turtles, fish, birds, dragonflies, MUD! We'll definitely go back.

If you've never seen a swamp close up, then this is a fun place to be. It's nicely cared for, there are clear pathways, and lots to see. We went right after a rain so there was some mud, so I'd recommend crummy shoes if you're in similar circumstances.

The lady at the visitors center is awesome! She was friendly and full of information. Don't forget to sign in because that's how they get their funding, its based on the number of visitors.Stop in there with the kiddos if you need a cold drink!

Phinizy Swamp Nature Park is a cool place to visit for a few hours to see the scenery of a swamp. A long wooden bridge/walkway goes over the swamp, putting one right in the middle of the action. Connected to this walkway is a gazebo, giving the chance to sit and chill while admiring the view. Swamp-living birds fly around,... More
