Love the entire property! Gift shop is awesome. Many beautiful areas to sit and meditate. Always space to get away from crowds. Love the expansive trails but not sure they are safe to hike alone anymore as did in the past so I gave avoided those unfortunately. Inconsistent community class activity and advertisement of what classes they might have -... More

I live in Athens so have been here many times, in all seasons. My daughter was married in the chapel which is on the grounds. Although the gardens are best in the spring and fall, there is a wonderful indoor section which is always filled with indoor type plants, tropicals and orchids, etc. and well worth visiting. There is also... More

my daughter had her weddind at the chapel and the reception at the conservatory. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. The walk between the two facilities is just right and a photographers dream.

This was a great place to go for peace and quiet. My wife and I enjoyed the time of reflection since there were very few others around. The grounds are well maintained and clean. Highly recommend!

The State Botanical Gareden of Georgia is just gorgeous. You will find it so peaceful and relaxing as you take in all the natural beauty on display. Every plant and tree is so carefully attended to. It is truly a bridge between our busy world and what beauty true nature has to offer.

The State Botanical Garden is beautiful. They have a variety of plants seperated by origin or type of plant. They have a huge hummingbird attraction area. They do have quite a few stairs so wear comfortable shoes. Do not forget to bring lots of water since you will only have access to water at the visitor center or a few... More

If you are at all interested in plants, the Botanical Garden is time well spent. There is a huge range of plants from a wide variety of ecosystems, all set in beautiful, well-kept surroundings. There are hiking trails through native plantings, formal gardens, a wetlands area, a huge greenhouse for tropicals, vegetable beds, fruit trees, and many new grass and... More

I'm not much of a plant person but I really enjoy stopping by the Botanical Gardens a few times a month. It's a very peaceful place to walk around and there is always something interesting happening, whether its the latest blooms or the butterflies fluttering from flower to flower. I especially enjoy the herb gardens, such wonderful aromas escaping from... More

We visited here on a very hot summer day. My wife, who is a biology teacher was mesmerized by the gardens. For a novice, I really appreciated all of the signs identifying the various plants and trees. We especially enjoyed the different types of gardens. We will definitely be back when the weather cooperates

This is a lovely property with a number of theme gardens and a great chapel for weddings. The conservatory had a neat little collect of fruit and nut plants that I've never seen before. Sadly, the deer had somehow bypassed the high fences and destroyed 2 or 3 theme gardens. The curators must have cried when arriving on site.
