Wonderful place to take in a relaxing independent movie or a gallery show for a local artist. Small and cozy venue.

My husband and I go to Cine fairly frequently. We love movies and you can count on Cine to show the most unique, thought provoking and interesting movies in town. As for the "bar," it is a nice addition to an evening movie experience to order something and carry it in to the theater to sip on as the movie... More

It is a fun place to see a movie, have a drink, and/or snack. This is the only artsy theater in town, but it also gets mainstream films. It is a great place to see a film because the rooms are smaller and more intimate, the snacks are reasonably priced, and there is a bar.

You can actually, take off your shoes, walk around a bit, sit and watch the film, and they will actually BRING you drinks ! Such a lovely staff. Lots of perks when they get to know.

I like the idea of CIne, which is to say that Athens absolutely needs an art house that shows independent and foreign films. Cine presumably is such a place but, in my experience, it falls short. The main problem is that the films shown at CIne are often also films that the three megaplex theaters in town also show. So... More

Not many of these places around. The movie I saw was indie but very accessible. Great beer selection! Wish I were closer to this place: I'd go regularly!

They play awesome, interesting and unique movies. You get to drink beer/wine/cocktails while you watch. Staff is always friendly and it's never too crowded. Great place for a date night (especially if you eat next door at The National). How much better can it get?

We love Cine! Great movies that the commercial theatres don't show; clean, interesting interior. Popcorn is cheap, they have homemade cookies, too, and you can get traditional movie candy, great beers and mixed drinks. A really great deal is Sunday through Tuesday you can eat dinner next door at The National and get a free movie ticket to Cine. (The... More

Love the concept of this place--a restaurant and bar (you can order drinks to enjoy during the movie) connected to a modern movie theater, but thought the ticket prices were awfully high--$19.50 for two tickets to an evening movie. Will try the $1 cinema on the west side of town next time.

Check out Cine for an independent film in the old town's move theatre. You can order an alcoholic drink to enjoy during your flick.
