I did the open water course with Millie, she was very nice and enthusiastic. All the staff was very nice and the diving was great. My boyfriend did 3 fun dives a day and really enjoyed it. We saw a lot of amazing things: seahorses, eaglerays, turtles and a nurse shark. Too bad we didn't saw a whale shark but... More

Part of the training includes an information gathering assignment requiring visits to all the ten or so dive companies. None of them compare physically or philosophically with UDC. The building is very attractive and well maintained and the staff are warm, playful, and on task. They are professional. People you don't even know call you by name. They exude a... More

I went for my open water certification. I just had a few days to take the course and the staff there made sure that it happened. My instructor Vero was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and patient with me. The atmosphere is laid back and everybody is very nice. I recommend it all the way.

I've spent time at UDC on three different occasions. Being an avid traveler, it's one of the few places that I keep going back to, that's got to tell you something. I first went to UDC back in 2011 to do my DM. I had never gone diving previous to that but I enrolled in the zero to hero package... More

I got recertified in August 2013 at UDC for my Open Water. Tres was absolutly the best instructor. UDC has great Dive instructors and a very relaxed setting. I appreciated the small groups that were on the boats. Stayed at the Mango Inn but upgraded from the "dorm" rooms to the private cabins since my husband and I are in... More

I've been coming to since 2003, been here 14 times. I've stayed at, and dove with most dive centers on the island, and have found that Utila Dive Center is the very best for EVERYTHING! Staying just one week, for fun diving, UDC goes to the North side with the best diving every day, with the most fun, professional dive... More

UDC is a large and thriving dive shop on a tiny and awesome little island. I went there for my Dive Master and left a DM and Tec 50 diver with a wide array of specialties. I couldn't imagine a better location to train with up capacity of five boats going out for different training and diving every day. Want... More

Utila is an amazing place, which I have learned to both love and hate. UDC is certainly part of the reason why I love it. Each dive shop has it's own attraction depending on who you are or what you're doing, this is often outwardly projected most directly in their crew. If it were possible for me to call to... More

My son received the highest honors at college. I offered to reward him with an adventure. We settled on dive certification. After extensive research, we selected Utilla Dive Center because of their wonderful rep and proximity to great dive sites. At the end if one week, my son realized he missed his calling; he trashed his academic success and decided... More

I arrived in Utila and immediately signed up to UDC as I'd been recommended by word of mouth. I wasn't disappointed. The whole experience was very professional, I always felt safe. We had two dive instructors and they were very friendly and very helpful and anyone who was struggling early on the singled out and gave extra tuition! they were... More
