We did our advanced diver course there. Our instructor John was great. Not sure about some of the others. Carol is also nice. The courses are held well. Some of the equipment is relatively new but some seemingly old as well. Functional though. The accommodation is on the basic side but very roomy. Kitchens are a bit under equipped. The... More

The whole experience with BICD was terrific from start to finish. They sent a rick-shaw to grab me from the airport ($2 from plane to BICD door). I was warmly welcomed by John and Donna who explained everything (scuba course, accommodations and prices). The dorms were inexpensive and easy to meet fun people from everywhere. Did my open-water with Kelsey... More

Great place to learn to dive!! My friend and I both did our open water course there. He found it so enjoyable that he continued on with his advanced; I left for trip time reasons. The instructors are professional and fun-loving which makes the learning experience very enjoyable. It also creates a good atmosphere around the school. This atmosphere and... More

This place is truly amazing! The staff and the instructors make you feel like part of the family instantly. The dorms are big and tidy with good beds. Me and my buddy did our advanced PADI at BICD and we had a great time. The people working there are awesome, their dive gear is in good condition and their prices are competitive. We checked out most of the other dive outfits and we found BICD to be the most professional outfit with the best facilities. I would recommend... More

We came to the college as a group of four friends. We met Rebekah on the pier and followed her back to the college where we were given a full tour of the facilities and accommodation and taken through the course structure. After looking at two other facilities we agreed this was the best and booked into a 2 bedroom... More

I did my OWD at Bay Island College of Diving. When I had to pay, I wanted to pay in the national currency of Honduras (Lempiras). However, they just wanted Dollars and offered me a bad exchange rate in order to change the lempiras to Dollars. I declines it because they also offered to pay with credit card, so I... More

I stayed at BICD (what they call it!) for around 3 weeks in November and after exploring all the dive shops in Utila I can honestly say they are a very welcoming and down to earth crew. As a diving instructor myself I have worked and seen a wide variety of dive schools an these guys are doing a fantastic... More

Well, don't be satisfied in merely becoming one, why not become a GREAT instructor at BICD with the guidance of the one and only, Course Director Nick Derutter! Or have you already kind of chosen Nick and Team... More
