Do yourself a favor, try stand up paddle boarding (SUP) while in Utila. I had never SUPed before, but it was easy enough to pick up in a couple minutes and I certainly didn't regret it. Great way to explore Utila's waters on calm-wind days. Boards are big and stable. Plenty of room for a kid or two, plus snorkel gear/lunch in a dry bag. Parents get some exercise, kids have a blast...fun for everybody! More

I had a wonderful time. Its an active, yet relaxing experience. Be prepared to get wet- part of the instruction is being able to get to the board in case of a fall- etc. Andi continually helps you gain better control of the board- so you can relax more and enjoy the view. i'm looking forward to going out again....
