The arboretum was beautiful with lots of beautiful flowers and trees in bloom. Very relaxing on a hot day.

If you want a change of pace from the usual island "stuff" this is worth the trip. It is a small place but you can spend an hour or so and see beautiful flowers, some birds, an orchard, and a large hydroponic operation. We spent some time at The Porch enjoying fruit fresh out of the orchard and a few... More

If you want to be part of Nature this is a great place combined away from the crazy life, to know more about agriculture and diffentr types of fruit trees and one great option is that you could get your cashew seads from the tree to your mouth in a great flavor as they cooked and packed on the same... We went to this arboretum and enjoyed it. However, the hiking trailing (we used #2) was basically a path carved out of the jungle. While that was interesting, the pathway is tough to navigate, especially if you have a bit of age and weight. A few benches along the way, a bit of work on the path to make it... More

We did a self guided tour through the gardens and found everything well marked. The grounds are amazing, beautiful and perfectly cared for. We wish more places on the Island looked like this! They offer tasty samples of treats at the end of your stay and the hostess was very friendly. What we found disappointing, it's not owned by locals,... More

We cruised on the Carnival Sunshine the end of April. We had pre-planed our excursion here because of all the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Anna picked us up outside the port and brought us to her home for $15 each giving us a commentary along the way. Once we arrived paid another $15 we were taken on an... More

I had read reviews about the aboretum and decided to go check it out. We wanted to get out of the sun for a few hours and learn more about Roatan and it's flora. We were pleasantly surprised, we arrived on a Non Cruise day so we were the only ones there. We did our own tour which was great... More

The Arboretum was a great place to wander through all different cultivars and species of fruit trees and other plantings. We did a self-tour, but guided tours are also offered. The kids also fed the ducks and watched the agouti and iguanas. There are also hydroponic facilities on the premises that supply lettuce and greens to the islands restaurants and... More

The history of how the arboretum began was interesting. The variety of non-native plants that do well in the Roatan climate was surprising as well. We selected the guided tour, which cost $17, so that we would know what we were looking at. The grounds are not spread out so it is an easy walk. I enjoyed seeing the hydroponic... More
