The Arboretum was a great place to wander through all different cultivars and species of fruit trees and other plantings. We did a self-tour, but guided tours are also offered. The kids also fed the ducks and watched the agouti and iguanas. There are also hydroponic facilities on the premises that supply lettuce and greens to the islands restaurants and... More

The history of how the arboretum began was interesting. The variety of non-native plants that do well in the Roatan climate was surprising as well. We selected the guided tour, which cost $17, so that we would know what we were looking at. The grounds are not spread out so it is an easy walk. I enjoyed seeing the hydroponic... More

I have lived on Roatan for almost 2 years and I never went to the Blue Harbor Tropical Arboretum until last week. What an amazing place. My friends and I did the self guided tour and were able to wander around at our own pace. The grounds are meticulously maintained, plants are well labeled, the flowers are gorgeous and the... More

This tour is fun, informative and you even get to sample lots of island fruits and some amazing products they sell. Our rental car broke down there and they made us an almond butter sandwich with payaya jam and put a bit of rum in our smoothies. Great fun!

We arrived around 10? and were thrilled to hear that we could catch up to the guided tour that had just headed out.Faviola proved to be a delightful and knowledgeable guide. The flowers, the fruit trees, the water and birds ..it was wonderful.Getting there early is best at this time of year since the sun gets so hot by noon.... More

Went to the arboretum and paid for a guided tour of the plants as well as the hydroponic veggies. After paying the girl for both tours I stood around for a bit and because nobody showed up to guide me, I headed off on my own. The arboretum and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It was easy to... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this exotic and tropical paradise! Not only were the gardens beautiful and we learned a lot, but perhaps the best part of all was that we were served up a plate of the exotic fruits that were in season including the miracle berry which changed a very sour lime into the most sweetly flavored... A small but very pretty garden with a variety of plants, especially fruit trees and bushes. Very attentive and friendly guide. Transportation to and from was flawless and on the way back they gave us a little tour of the island. Recommended if you're interested in gardening or just want to look at the greenery. They have a small snack... More

We visited the blue harbour arboretum last week and we were blown away by the many varieties of fruits and fruit trees and other species of vegetationand food such as cashew trees and the hydroponic lettuce that is grown in this spot. This is good news for sustainable development on the island. It is about a 45 minute drive from... More

Very nice spot. We did the self guided tour. Most plants and trees are clearly marked. If you are staying on the island, be sure to buy their fresh lettuce and herbs.....yum!
