Prior to visiting Roatán, I had never been paddle boarding. It ended up being one of my favorite experiences on the island. Paddlers create their own pace and the activity can be for anyone. The views on the water are absolutely beautiful, especially if you go paddling on the bay during the sunset. Furthermore, Steve is one of the coolest... More

We ended up at the Sandy Bay West End Marine Park not knowing what to expect. Fortunately we were dropped off right in front of Steve's Paddle Shack. First of all, what an amazing location: in a beautiful bay - nice, calm water, lots of shade, food available right next door at Sundowners Beach Bar (very affordable). My teenage daughters... More

We had the esteem pleasure of being with Steve in February 2014. We were a group of 12 and we had the time of our lives. After Steve picked us up, we had a great tour around the island, then we reached our destination, Steve's Paddle Shack. My husband and I were not the most adventurous but we had so... More

We had a wonderful experience with Steve's Paddle Shack. The location is great, the equipment top of the line and so was the instruction. Steve efficiently outfitted us with equipment and we got a quick ground school and then it was on to the water. From there we were up and standing in no time. It was myself, wife and... More

Like 171Janis, we just got back home from a Western Caribbean cruise. For us, our cruise included stops at Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel and our time on Roatan at Half Moon Bay with Ernie and the paddle boards was amazing was the BEST EXCURSION of the cruise. First a little background info, we did the Cruise Ship Excursion. After... More

Never been on a paddle board in my life and now feel like I want to spend the rest of my life on one! We stayed at Cocolobo so were able to walk to the West End beach every day at some point even if we had been out on another tour. So we decided to rent paddle boards from... More

Steve was wonderful with our cruise group. We were a group of 6 adults and 6 children (ages 7-15). Steve took us on a great tour of Roatan and then off to paddle board. It was the first time for all of us. 10 of us tried paddle boarding and we were all able to get up and have a... More

We just returned from a cruise through the Western Carribean. As I prefer to arrange my own excursions (not through the cruise lines), I read many reviews about activities we could do that would appeal to our group of 12. We had 6 kids in our group, ages 7-15. The adults ranged from early 40s to late 50s. We have... More

Steve's paddle shack is a great place to rent paddle boards and get out whether you know what you are doing or not. We didn't and Steve came out and even gave us a free lesson! The weather wasn't that calm but we did this with no problem. It should definitely be tried while in Roatan!

Taking a paddle board out while the sun is starting to set is simply awesome. Steve and Junior were very helpful with setting you up and give instructions when needed. It's very relaxing to paddle around on the water, while at the same time you get a work out in!
