My husband and I were looking to complete our dive certification while on a Cruise, we found Barefoot Divers through the Padi website and contacted them directly to arrange our Dive 3 & 4 skills dives for our Open Water Diver certification. From the Mahogany Bay Cruise port it was a very short cab ride to the resort. We arrived... More

The staff at Barefoot Divers are consistently friendly and accommodating, Equipment is clean and in good condition, and the instructors and dive masters are knowledgeable and professional. The dives are only about 20 minutes out by boat, and the marine life is diverse and abundant. For my dives, the water was warm and visibility excellent. Depending on how booked the... More

The cruise ship description of Barefoot divers touts them as a "boutique" experience and charges about twenty percent more for Barefoot than the two tank experience at Anthony's Key. We dove Anthony's Key twice before and were very pleased with them. So to be a better dive experience was a challenge. All the cruise ship the dive excursions were actually... More

Be alert what you are paying for. They might charge you a whatever tip in advance before you even step on the boat!! They might also quietly add some "voluntary" items to your bill such as a kind of marine park fee. And off course a tax. So instead of paying 40 USD (not including a gear) as you expected,... More

I'm sorry that you were unhappy with your billing. I'm surprised that any diver would not want to support the marine park- this is an important organization in protecting one of the island's most valuable assets (installing mooring buoys, organizing clean-ups, doing patrols to prevent illegal practices such as the taking of lobster and conch, etc), and dive shops in... Loved the dives, the water was warm and clear; like diving in an aquarium! The staff was amazing from start to finish. Daniel our dive guide took great care of us and we thoroughly enjoyed our dives. The shop is comfortable with lockers and showers. Loved it!

Barefoot Divers are a great diving service. I loved the valet service and that we didn’t have to drag our gear back and forth every day. There were a couple snafus that happened with our gear set up, but as divers we should know to always check our gear before getting in the water, so this was an overlook and... More

Even though the conditions (very wavy) were not ideal - the diving was great. As a newly certified diver, I choose to dive with a Dive Master (Tony) and he made me feel very comfortable and confident. The location is perfect - very close to an unbelievable reef with very unique features. The equipment was excellent and the atmosphere was... More

I got my PADI Scuba Diver certification from Barefoot Divers, and could not have asked for a better experience! Not only was the staff incredibly kind, but they were so attentive and accommodating. Merry was AMAZING. Such a great instructor, who explained everything so clearly. I was pretty nervous before starting, but she made me feel safe and comfortable enough... More

I had 4 great dives with this company. They were nice, knowledge and very accommodating. My husband snorkels so they always picked sites for our dives that were good for divers & snorkelers. It was very nice of them. Also the groups were never to big & the equipment was well taken care of. I felt safe and comfortable diving... More

I did my Rescue Diver certification with Barefoot Divers. It was physically demanding, psychologically challenging and lots of fun. Merry, my instructor, and her evil twin, Vivi, did everything from falling overboard, panicking underwater and on the surface to getting lost, drowning and nearly drowning. These were all exercises of course and part of the training scenarios. This pair was... More
