It was ok but if you didn't want to do the beach was not that much else to do, a few shops, eating places. Wanted to take the magical chair ride but it was raining when we got there, so later we decided to walk to the beach. Will add a photo later.

The whole place is a rip off. Expensive drinks, expensive food, discourteous almost ignorant staff with very bad arithmetical skills. Avoid at all cost, walk up the road and get a local cab and get a taste of real Roatan.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen but.....crowds are the norm. We arrived early from our cruise ship & had reserved cover lawn chairs "mini cabanas" on the beach. The chairs are parking literally one right next to the other with little to no privacy. Glad we got there early because by the time the... More

We were on a Carnival Cruise and at this Port of Call I had my elderly parents and aunties. The staff was amazing providing wheelchairs for my Dad and the sky tram provided a beautiful ride on the return from the beach. We were able to rent cabanas close to the water so my parents and family could enjoy the... More

Visited while cruising. The shopping area at this port was very nice. We chose to walk to the beach rather than take the Magical Flying Beach chair. It was a short walk with a beautiful view of the foliage. The beach are was CROWDED so we chose to walk out on the pier and enter water from there. The water... More

Like a lot of traveler whom have visited Roatan, I was brought there by a cruise ship, The Carnival Dream. We stayed all afternoon, and it seemed like a pretty cool spot. It's got most of what you'd expect from a Caribbean port: duty free shopping, plenty of bars, beautiful beaches, people selling t shirts, etc. The beach water was... More

Carnival and Princess Cruises own and operate Mahogany Bay in Roatan and is one of their stops. We found it to be a lot of fun with white sand beach and turquoise/blue waters. There is a short walk from the cruise ships/dock area, through some shopping and down a paved walkway to the beach. You can also ride a chairlift... More

Had booked excursion and had only two hours to enjoy mahogany beach...beach packed with chairs but only one ship in port so room for anyone who wanted to be there...cruise shops there but if you have been to any port with them this is something to skip...it is all about beach and beach activities...no reason to buy excursion to beach...
