We stopped here while on a cruise, and didn't find it to be anything too special. While the beach is very close to the port, it isn't the nicest of beaches, especially compared to some of the other stops on the cruise (Cozumel, Grand Cayman, etc), and it got super crowded within an hour. One thing that was cool about... More

During our trip, there was only one ship in port. We had reserved snorkeling gear and a clam shell. I highly recommend the snorkeling gear (they hold your ship card while you rent the gear). With a short walk down the pier, we were immersed in a reef and lots of tropical fish! On many occasions, the reefs are so... More

This is one of the most convenient ports to get to a beach. Most of my visits have come by way of Carnival Cruise Ship. The ships actually dock at this port within a short walk from the ship.Depart your ship early and take the time to walk down the beach a little way and this will result in a... More

I missed out on getting one of the packages to the beach at Mahogany Bay, but the desk told me just to walk on over - it is about a five minute walk. I didn't get a "Clamshell" with two chairs, but I got a free beach under the shade of lovely palms with a free chair. This is a... More

What a great day to relax on the beach after spending so much on excursion from previous days. This beautiful beach is free and I would recommend getting there early to get a good chair. You can pay extra for the Clam Cover but there are plenty of chairs with trees for shade. At the end of the beach is... More

We opted to stay at Mahogany Beach for the day instead of an excursion. Great Choice! The shops are clean and there is a nice selection of items. The prices were not as high as other places. The beach area was great. There were a lot of people but we expected that. All the clamshells were reserved for those who... More

Went on a family Carnival Cruise and stopped here. With the overall cost of a cruise, finding ports to skip excursions is important. This beach is only a few years old, and a .5 mile walk through shops gets you to a nice beach with bars, floats, etc. They also have a chair-lift that gets you there a little quicker... More

This beach is a man made area for the cruise port. You can walk there in about 12 minutes and it is not bad. Some of the walk is scenic. You must have your cruise ship card to be allowed to enter. The trees offer much shade and the loungers are free. The water is nice but not gorgeous. It... More

IT is a man made area in Roatan and nothing like the rest of the island. I live on Roatan so every now and then it is nice to take a break and go to Mahogony Bay for a mini vacay. I love the shops and restaurants there.

Beautiful island paradise. Beach, shade, games, hammocks, Fat Tuesdays has 2 restaurants. The best treat was to go all the way to the end of the walk and find The Hideaway. Beautiful and Delicious local fish - great lunch stop. (The small was large enough to share). Local beer and frozen drinks. Shops were nice and a great way to... More
