This is the 2nd time on a Princess Cruise that I have been here. It is a beautiful place if you like to relax in a free lounge chair on the beach and don't mind hanging out with a few hundred other cruise ship passengers around you. We have luckily been the only cruise ship at dock, and there are... More

Our cruise ship dumped us out onto the pier which is much like the entrance to any Disney World like resort with it's concrete, winding walkways and manicured landscaping. Shopping area is contained within a walled area and very protected from the actual island or beach area. If not for the small craft market at the rear of the shopping... More

we were on the magic and the pride was also here. anyone who said the beach was crowded has never been to the jersey shore in the summer. the water was cloudy from the sand so snorkeling was not good. the beach was clean, we did not have any problems with finding chairs. my 4 year old grandson had a... If you are cruising to western Caribbean and stopping at Isla Roatan then you can spend an hour of so on this beach before you get on cruise again. Keep it as a last item in itinerary as you can even hear cruise ship warning bell from this beach :) and even if you miss it you are not missing... More

Total time spent--about 1 hour. Sure it's a "free" beach day. The walk is easy to and back. 2 cruise ships in port--very crowded--the beach chair area was dirty, the beach was small and the water was still---no movement at all. I went out about 50-75 feet and it was only up to my chest! There are a few food... More

I guess I expected the water to be prettier, and actually clear, but it wasn't. We had a nice time and everything, it just wasn't the beautiful tropical paradise I had been hoping for.

It was a very windy and rainy day for us in Mahogany Bay. We were on the Carnival Dream and chose not to book any excursions on this cruise. Instead, we walked to the beach and stopped in the port shops. The beach had lounge chairs, showers, bikes, etc., but since it was windy and rainy it was pretty much... More

Not a bad beach if there is only one cruise ship in port. If there are two, it can be kind of crowded. Hope that you are the first ship to dock if you want to get prime beach real estate. Food is available nearby. The wifi was out when we were there so be prepared for that. Skip the... More

This was a great day spent on the clean beach and swimming with the cruise ship right in front of us. Wonderful and relaxing experience!

Purchased the Mahogany Beach items from Carnival Liberty. At $39.99 for two, this was a bargain. It included a ride on the "Magical Swing", a clam shell shade cover with two loungers, small table, and two floats for the day. The "Magical Swing" is a ski-lift like swing over to the beach (costs $12.00 per person for all day if... More
