We landed in Mahogany Beach from a cruise we took. We were exhausted from the previous two days of excursions and just wanted to sit on the beach and relax. This was the perfect place to do that. You can rent snorkel gear for a reasonable price, sit on a lounger and enjoy bar service. The dolphin encounter was too... More

The facility is very nice, and it's completely owned lock stock and barrel by Carnival Corporation. This may not be a bad thing, certainly it's safe, it's convenient, it's well laid out, and it has everything you need. If you just want to lay out on the beach and order drinks this will be just fine for you (though the... More

We were on Princess Caribbean and spent our first hour at Mahogany Bay snorkeling and enjoying the beach. The walk is a short distance from the cruise ship to the beach (10-15 minutes), and we enjoyed the beautiful foliage and flowers along the way. You can also pay to take an air tram. There was plenty of shade with the... More

Is just another great spot of the Island! Paradise beach and atmosphere ;)! Great tasty food and it's cheap compare to other places like Bermuda!

On April 4 our Carnival cruise called on Roatan. We decided to relax on the beach in the port area that Carnival built up instead of venturing out. We were so glad we did. We got some chairs on the beach under some palms so we got some shade when we got out of the water. We went all the... More

We had a great day on the beach at Mahogany Beach! We booked a package from the Cruise ship that included the chair lift to the beach, two beach chairs in a clam shell sun cover, and two float-ables for the water. I loved our day here. The chair lift that takes you to and from the beach can be... More

My husband & I are avid cruisers/vacationers, and Roatan is easily one of our favorite destinations we've visited thus far. We visited Mahogany Bay in Roatan while on a Holland America cruise a few years ago and absolutely LOVED the entire area, especially the beach! The beach is a short walk from the dock (or shorter ski-lift ride...). We were... More

Overpriced fake beach. It appears that most of the island should be mangroves but here is this large expanse of sandy beach. If you are not one of the first ones at the "beach" the view you are going to get is looking at the covering of the beach chairs in front of you. Felt like a piece of cattle,... More

Wonderful beach! Did the ski lift chairs, snorkeling and beach package through Carnival and loved it! We went off of the dock at the left far side and loved the snorkeling! A must do!!!

This is our second time to Roatan. The first time was with Norwegian Cruise Lines and it wasn't very good. We took an excursion with the ship and were disappointed. Thus, we were apprehensive going to Mahogany Bay with Carnival Cruise Lines. What a relief! We docked at a pier built by Carnival in conjunction with the government. ((Our tour... More
