This beach is a man made area for the cruise port. You can walk there in about 12 minutes and it is not bad. Some of the walk is scenic. You must have your cruise ship card to be allowed to enter. The trees offer much shade and the loungers are free. The water is nice but not gorgeous. It... More

IT is a man made area in Roatan and nothing like the rest of the island. I live on Roatan so every now and then it is nice to take a break and go to Mahogony Bay for a mini vacay. I love the shops and restaurants there.

Beautiful island paradise. Beach, shade, games, hammocks, Fat Tuesdays has 2 restaurants. The best treat was to go all the way to the end of the walk and find The Hideaway. Beautiful and Delicious local fish - great lunch stop. (The small was large enough to share). Local beer and frozen drinks. Shops were nice and a great way to... More

We have ziplined all over the island and enjoyed this one a lot. The lines were long with nice views. Bring lots of bug spray, mosquitos were horrible. Besides that it was great. Guides were great with the kids.

Get off island and walk over the hill. Everything is cheaper. Carnival's money maker. Zip Lining with Pirates of Caribbean. My son dropped his gopro after harness pulled it off. It fell 50 feet down a slope. Our guide went down the slope and retrieved it. No questions. Didn’t even hesitate. Great experience.

We were on a Carnival Cruise that stopped here. The Mahogany Bay Beach retreat is really close to the pier. We rode the chair lift to the beach. It was nice, but easily walkable too. The clam shells are lined up in rows for about 5-6 deep, so you are pretty close to your neighbor, but you can get plenty... More

At this stoponour cruise we were tired from the previous stops and excursions and just wanted some down time at the beach. Perfect place! Close to the pier, ten minutes to leave the ship and walk. Beautiful whie sand, clear water, palm trees, restaurants, shops, kayaks swimming snorkling, what else to say. A beautiful location. Skip the rush and fuss... More

I feel for those who stop on Roatan and doesn't leave the Disney -like port. Having said that it is a very nice cruise ship stop...and a fun stop for those visiting by car. Touristy of course but nicely done. I really encourage actually seeing the island and meeting the wonderful people.

Mahogany Bay is extremely beautiful island. It's a place where you can relax on the beach in covered lounge chairs, sip on tropical drinks, eat, dance and have a great time. I found the magical chair ride a total waist of time and money when you can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes.

Although our stop in Roatan was beautiful the beach at Mahogany Beach was disappointing. The beach is very well landscaped but because you are in a cove there is no wave action. From our vantage point on the cruise ship we could see the gulf and waves and it was disappointing not to be able to go play. We walked... More
