Carnival Owned, Crowded, Walkable

Carnival owned beach. Don't take the "flying chairs", just walk. It's not more than 1/4 of a mile. Sometimes crowded. I would recommend Little French Key or West End.

This is an over glorified shopping mall. All the shops are more or less what you have seen at other port that is owned by cruise line. Nothing native or local. There is are a couple of bars. You can spend some big bucks on the thrill of the sky chair for pictures or the view but the walk is... More

Beach was clean and very busy. We started out there first thing and it was packed. Went back later in the day and it was beautiful. Everyone had gotten back on the cruise ships and we spent the late afternoon enjoying the beach. It is short walk from the pier and if you talk a morning excursion you can easily... More

The beach was beautiful, and the water was gorgeous. The magic sky chairs were fun, but the power was out when we arrived, and had to walk to the beach. (No biggie, not that far, however, we had previously paid for this via an excursion and that included round trip chair lift. Just a quick talk with the excursion guy... More

When arriving off of Carnival to Mahogany Bay, there was a small tourist area with shops that had really neat things made in the Honduras. You then walked down this really cute path towards Mahogany Beach where you had the option of renting a lot of cool things for the water and for the beach. I rented Snorkeling gear for... More

This trip was sold out on the ship which turned out better for us. Admission is free to get on the beach. We got off the ship early but already the beach was crowded. We were able to find 4 lounges together, which we needed. The water was beautiful, not rough, not rocky. We did not want to take the... More

Visited via cruise ship, has a nice shopping area with all the usual stores. Chairlift can transport you directly to beach, clamshells available as well for extra charge......The beach was packed as they were two ships in port that day, water was cloudy due to ships late arrival, but cleared up later in the day. Nice little snorkeling area off... More

We booked a Norwegian Cruise out of New Orleans to the Western Caribbean. We visited docked at Roatan Honduras as one of our port. We took transportation to Mahogany Bay to swim and snorkel while Reverend Sterling went scuba diving on a private tour. The water was very clear and we can see beautiful fished swimming at this beautiful beach.

We cruised the Western Caribbean last year and did port at Mahogany Beach. This is private for Carnival ships. It is free unless you ride the "ski lifts" to the beach. There is a small shopping area and a pleasant walk through tropical plants/trees to the beach area. The beach was clean and very nice. I was pleased we did... More

We took a trip to Honduras for diving and one of our dives was in this bay, depending on the tide you don't want to dive here. We went at the wrong time, needless to say we were stuck in a strong current and blew through our air in about 5 minutes. We ended up about 200 yards away from... More
