We arrives at Mahogany bay with our cruise ship Carnival Conquest. Snce we put our feet of the boat, it was a fantastic atmosphere. We took the flying chairs to the beach atea where we've spent the day at the beach. What a wonderful experience. I can recommed the jerk chicken meal on the island with fried banana and rice.... My husband and I chose to have a relaxing day on the beach during our honeymoon cruise. Mahogany Bay was my favorite port of our cruise. The chair lift was a lot of fun and provided a great view of the scenery. The beach was beautiful! We booked a package that included 2 beach chairs, 2 floats, and a clam... More

Was a nice beach for free. Water was fairly clear. It was very clear out around the pier. Saw lots of sea life. It did have some jellyfish but they were easy to see.

We took the ship excursion to mahogany beach which included riding the ski lifts to the beach, a turtle cabana, two lounges and floats. It was a very good value. The ski lift ride we took several times since the scenery was beautiful on the way, seeing the beautiful mahogany trees, etc. The beach is very white sand, the water... More

Oh, this place was picture perfect. We were told by some visiting americans that it was the most expensive place to eat in Roatan but we drank 2 beers each and had 2 slices of pep pizza each and it was $20.00. Those beers are called SalvaVida and I believe it mean "Lifesaver". They were wonderful on hot day looking... More

Mahogany Bay was an excellent place for an all-day beach break. The weather was great, yes hot and humid, but still great. Our ship was the only one in port that day so there wasn’t a problem getting a lounge chair. We went further down the beach to get an area that had trees and some shade. What a relaxing... More

This place was nothing to really write home about. The shops there were extravagantly over priced for junk. The beach at Mahogany Bay was like a lagoon every cruise ship passenger swam in. Definitely wouldn't want to visit this port again.

It was ok but if you didn't want to do the beach was not that much else to do, a few shops, eating places. Wanted to take the magical chair ride but it was raining when we got there, so later we decided to walk to the beach. Will add a photo later.

The whole place is a rip off. Expensive drinks, expensive food, discourteous almost ignorant staff with very bad arithmetical skills. Avoid at all cost, walk up the road and get a local cab and get a taste of real Roatan.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen but.....crowds are the norm. We arrived early from our cruise ship & had reserved cover lawn chairs "mini cabanas" on the beach. The chairs are parking literally one right next to the other with little to no privacy. Glad we got there early because by the time the... More
