If you are on a Carnival cruise to Roatan, the Beach and Mahogany Bay is a must stop. Its free to use the beach and only a 5-10 minute walk from the ship. Its a protected area so there is little to be concerned about with respect to security. There is a chair lift for $14 a day but its... More

We walked from the cruise ship to this beach. They had flying chairs for a $14 fee but we elected to walk (its five minutes). All of the shell covers were taken by the time we arrived so we just found a shaded area and set up. It was semi crowded as its where all the ship comes but we... More

This is one of the better maintained beaches on the island. The water is clear and usually calm, and the swimming area has a nice sandy bottom without much vegetation. Very enjoyable place to relax and float in the water.

It was an extremely busy beach, even though the place was beautiful. We had fun kayaking and having mojitos at one of several bars by the water. There are enough stores to get local souvenir.

Mahogany Bay is really Carnival’s private island. It was our least enjoyable stop. Most of the boats 4000 people come here so it is very crowded. It is also expensive. It is free to come to the island but they charge really high fees to rent even the umbrellas. The carnival photographers are constantly coming around trying to take pictures.... More

The beach itself was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The water is crystal clear! However, there are a lot of people trying to sell you stuff, and that can get a little annoying after a while.

We visited this beach on our Carnvial Dream cruise and absolutely loved this port. My husband and I were cruising and were going to do an outside excursion and once we were on the ship were told they had a beach at the port so we changed our plans. Well I am so glad we did, this port has all... More

My wife and I did some scuba diving here with Subway Water Sports. We absolutely loved it. It was our first time scuba diving ever. The water was nice and warm and the ocean floor was amazing. The whole experience is one that we will remember. The class that we went through also counts towards a PADI certification. I highly... More

My family and I spent the afternoon at Carnivals Mahogany Beach which is short walk from the pier/shopping. The beach was very clean with white sand and shells galore. As we swam in the water we discovered several hermit crabs. There are several activities available such as basketball, volleyball, oversized chess board, restaurants, restrooms (Mon and WoMon), kayaks, and of... More
