Though some of the beach is rocky, it's nice for the most part. You have clamshells to lounge in which afford a great deal of privacy, and the nearby kayak rentals provide you the "escape" of paddling through the various channels there. All in all, a good excursion close to your cruise ship. Price is better than most shore excursions.

Very nice beach with a ski lift to take you back and forth if you don't want to walk. Make sure you venture out of this port to check out West Bay Beach and West End Village though.

Had a nice visit on the beach. Loved the sky lift to get there without walking. Only thing we were disappointed with was the food at restaurant. Not good. But ship is close enough you can go back to eat if u choose

Visited here on our family cruise and had a great time. The atmosphere was great and the people were very nice and welcoming. The beach area was nice, the sand wasn't hot or filled with debris.

Interesting community but not my favorite and I do not plan to visit again. I was a little unsettled by all the armed guards at places like gas stations and banks. Not just "armed" but carrying semi-automatic rifles.

We travelled the last week of February to Roatan on the Emerald Princess. We were in port with a Carnival ship as well. Luckily, I was able to reserve a cabana via Princess about 1 month prior to sailing. The cabana may see expensive at first, but I assure you it is well worth the $$. I've been to other... More

This was a nice relaxing shore excursion from the Carnival Magic. We got the package including the chairlift, lounge chairs with clamshell and snorkeling equipment. The chairlift was a nice scenic ride, but it stops often for loading and unloading so it if faster to walk instead. The beach was nice and the water was clear and warm. Just like... More

This island was very serene. Beach chairs nestled in trees or by the beach. Carnival picked an awesome stop!

Beach is very easy to access from the ship. I would save the money on the chair lift if you are able to walk. There is a cool trail you can walk that goes by the water and has some great places to get a picture of the ship. The beach gets busy and then the water gets murky.

Owned by Carnival Cruise lines it is a pleasant sandy beach crammed with beach loungers & clamshell windshelters; it was predictably crowded when we arrived from our ship.
