This place is soooo beautiful. It is amazing. The snorkeling is pretty good, but for us the highlight was the natural beauty of the island. It was amazing! Did I say amazing? :) Our group ranged in age for 74 to late 30's to teenagers to a 5 year old and we all loved it. It was everyone's favorite excursion... More

Maya Key was fantastic! Definitely the best snorkeling we've ever done. Plenty of shade under a number of trees. Small beach area, but from it you can walk a pier for maybe 150ft or so. At the end of it are some ladders that take you into a shallow area of water and you can start swimming around with the... More

We WON a day excursion to Maya Key on our cruise ship, and it worked out very well. The little key has just about everything- an animal sanctuary heavy on big cats, monkeys and birds, swimming and snorkeling in the ocean and pool, replicas of Mayan ruins and a very informative Mayan Museum- and a bar/ restaurant where the excellent... We booked a family Christmas cruise on Princess so I did alot of investigating on excursions for family members ages 19 yrs.old to 80 yrs.old for things that we could all do together and liked what I saw for Maya Key private island/animal santuary. We booked our excursions a couple months in advance as the prices do go up if... More

Booked the tour thru Princess Cruises. It was a lovely little island off Roatan. The place was an animal sanctuary with Sea lions, stingrays, sharks, pumas, jaguars, ocelots, monkeys and lots of birds. Some animal encounters for a fee but the also have free ones on the beach at alloted times. We had buffet style lunch which was according to... More

I'm writing this review over a year late, as my wife and I stopped here on our anniversary cruise in December 2013. We booked this excursion through our Carnival cruise ship. The weather was great that day. We left the shopping area near the pier with our group and walked to a dock, where a boat picked us up and... More

Absolutely, without a doubt...the best excursion from our Western Caribbean cruise over Christmas! The island was even more beautiful than expected and well kept. The staff were so inviting and everything in the gift shop was well priced (in US dollars). Great BBQ, pool and perfectly clean animal habitat and the beach was great! Snorkeling was easy and pristine! A... More

Poured rain! Gift shop was the only shelter. Plans to sun and snorkel were ruined. Open boat ride to and from, so drenched before we ever arrived.
