Staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. I was most surprised by the quality of the snorkeling! Head off the end of the long dock with the gazebo at the end and wind throught the shallow corals for about 30 yards until you get to the drop off. It's amazing! About 60 ft deep and full of... They do great work there with the animals and beach was great and love the food. Sea Bass was great and the Rice and Beans. Mayan ruins was a replica but look great and had a lot of history there to tell about.

beautiful little island beside a bigger beautiful island. We were looking for a day to just relax while on a cruise and found an excursion to Maya Key. We were so delighted when we got to the island to see that there are birds and native animals all around the island. They had a small zoo with rescued monkeys and... More

Our family of five enjoyed our excursion to Maya Key last week. The highlight for my girls was the free Monkey encounter. Although the ocean was rough the day we visited, Staff member, Omar , was amazing at helping first timers snorkel . The lunch was good but we left a bit hungry. Our lunch, which was included in our... More

Maya Key is a private island that houses an animal rescue and rehab center. They have a zoo area and the animals were either orphaned, injured, confiscated, or donated to the rescue. The team does a great job of providing appropriate diets, habitats, and enrichment for all of the animals. A licensed veterinarian makes regular trips to Maya Key to... More

We loved exploring Maya Key but BE SURE TO SPRAY YOUR BUG SPRAY!!! no see-ums are on HIGH attack there especially were there is no breeze -- for us I think it was as we toured the key to look at the animals, I think the bugs were bothering the monkeys and when we stopped to watch them they took... Visited with my 17 year old niece and it was one of my favorite places we went! I never swam with any large animals much less sharks and never felt nervous and it was only $35! The snorkeling was awesome and even a pool when you get enough salt water. Lastly all we really wanted was to hold a monkey... More

Nice facilities, with a zoo and various entertainment. But not very interesting for divers, or anyone who wants to experience any part of the real Roatan.

The beach area was beautiful. The water was gorgeous. Snorkeling was awesome. And this is a wildlife rehabilitation area so you get to see cheetahs, Tigers, parrots, sea lions and more but most impressive is you get to hold and feed the small monkeys . My 2 teenagers said that made the trip for them. The food was good too.

We went here for the day from our cruise ship. This place is beautiful. The people working here are friendly and helpful and the food was great. Here you really do feel as though you have your own private beach. The snorkeling was fantastic....better than the Caymans or Cozumel... I would very much like to return here.
