My family and I went to Maya Key last week while on a Carnival cruise that stopped in Roatan for a day. Let me just say what a fun and relaxing day we had. The island is very well kept, very clean, very quiet, and very beautiful. They have a big animal reserve on the island, they even had nurse... More

Visited this location while sailing on the Navigator of the Seas. $25 to rent a mask, fins and vest? Seems expensive to me. Lounge chairs by the beach were dirty. Swimming area in the ocean was ok, pool better. Food provided was very good as well as $15 for a bucket(6) of local beers. Animals very cool, held a 2... More

Maya Key private island had the best snorkeling I have ever done. There were tons of fish, huge coral reefs. If you go there, don't miss out on the snorkeling. I had a fabulous day there and would definitely go back. The only negative was that I got sick from the food they served at lunch.

This was a great family excursion especially if you are traveling with extended family. There is something to do for everyone. We went with my in-laws who don't snorkel and require shade, we require sun and snorkeling. We were both happy since there was plenty of shade and we got sun and the snorkeling was fantastic. Some of the best... More

My husband and I went to Maya Key Private Island last week as an excursion associated with Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas. Huge disappointment. There is an AIRPORT on the island, so laying out and trying to relax is not an option. Planes were coming in a going out regularly. Also, there is a huge parrot cage next to... More

My wife and I went to Maya Key while on our RC Navigator of the Seas cruise. The ride over from our ship was just across the bay and took less than five minutes to get there. I enjoyed the nice cool breeze blowing off the ocean under the shade of the trees. I will admit to falling under the... More

Whether this place goes by it's old name (Fins 'n Flippers) or their new name (Maya Key), it is a really wonderful place. First, as far as the animals, they appear to be well cared for and seem to have good habitats. We walked around the entire place and were very happy with what we saw. The snorkeling was actually... We arrived on Maya Key on June 18 to a downpour of rain, which only added to it's charm. This place is amazing...so much to do. My daughter and I signed up for the sea lion encounter and had a blast with Ting...what a big sweetheart :) After that we decided to snorkel and Omar, gladly took us out. The... More

This is called Fins 'n Flippers but I know it as Maya Key Roatan. Our group of five visited here while cruising on the Carnival Magic in May of 2014. We booked this excursion through the cruise ship. Once off of the cruise ship we got on another boat and were taken to a private island. We went here mainly... More
