As other reviews have mentioned, this a private island with lots of benefits. They have the best snorkeling area my husband has ever seen. And he could go out as often as he wanted during our time on the island. We was on a cruise and booked with the cruise line. This was the best excursion out the four we... More

This is the second time we've taken a shore excursion through Carnival to Maya Key. We loved it both times. The snorkeling is fantastic, the overall ambiance is relaxing and peaceful, the location is great, and we love the fact they are so helpful to the animals they rescue. We will definitely make a donation to the cause, and will... More

We had a wonderful day at Maya Key! Great snorkeling, good food, good shopping. But my FAVORITE part was the Sea Lion Encounter. It cost me $30 extra... and WELL worth it. You spent one-on-one time with the Sea Lion and his trainer. The sea lion was SO cute! They let you take pictures with your own camera so that... More

We booked the day at Maya Key through NCL. We're so glad we did! We docked at Roatan, had time to wander the port, then caught a small boat to Maya Key. One other boat came to Maya Key from another cruise ship. The island never felt crowded or busy. There were lots of empty sun chairs, available in the... More

Went to Maya Key (formerly Fins & Flippers) through Royal Caribbean and it was one of our favorite all-time stops. What a beautiful island getaway!! Snorkeling, wonderful animal sanctuary for rescued/abused/donated animals. I cannot begin to describe how awesome the day was. It was my idea of the perfect day (especially since we live in the frigid state of Michigan).... More

Just exactly as it was advertised and more! Super friendly and helpful folks, great meal, not too crowded. The snorkeling was GREAT! Would absolutely go back again- was just plain fun and relaxing. This would be a wonderful place to take children as well. Nothing negative at all!

Our day at Maya Key (formerly Fins & Flippers) was the highlight our recent cruise. We booked it right through the cruise line and were transported directly from a dock just steps off the ship. Maya Key itself is gorgeous.... everything you could want for a beach day. I believe we paid $64.99 which included lunch. Alcohol was not included,... More

The Maya Keys Private island tours from Princess cruise was great. We had a great time. We were taken by catamaran from the pier to the island it must have taken about 15 minutes. Once we arrive we were brief that we could go and relax by the beach, explore the museum with replica objects or go to see the... More

We had such a great day here! We visited at the end of August as part of a Carnival Cruise. My only complaint would be, not enough time here. The snorkelling was perhaps the best I've ever experienced. Our children 5 and 10 loved everything from the snorkelling to the rescued animals. Getting to hold a monkey was thrilling to... More

Wife and I had a great visit to Maya Key in 2010, we decide to return again this year!. Everything as we had remembered was great! We booked thru Carnival as a shore excursion, which included a great lunch of chicken, fish, rice/beans, salad, and drinks. Alcohol is extra. Bottom line, this place is great. Very clean and well kept.... More
