These little islands are great for lunch breaks between dives. Dive boat chef cooked some awsome chicken and fish.

We visited Laughing Bird Caye twice in the week we were there. Each time we lucked out and had it pretty much to ourselves. It is a beautiful place to just hang out, but we snorkeled and dove. So many lobsters they became ordinary, lots of other beautiful fish, moray eels, eagle rays (scuba)

Laughing Bird Caye is reached by a 20-30 minute boat ride from where we were staying in Placencia. It is a small island with a ranger station, some picnic tables, and a bathroom. Seemed like paradise - but you can't stay. Only for a while. But the fish are out of this world. Our trip left from Roberts Grove Dive shop and our guide was Tulu who was wonderful. We had other guides, but Tulu was the very best.

Went with the diving facilities recommended by Robert Grove, about a 30 - 40 minute boat ride from the marina ,,, did a first dive ... very nice - but for some reason not very much marine life in this first dive ... went for lunch and stayed for about an hour + in the key ... lots of pelicans... A very well run trip with guides to a beautiful island off Placencia. The guides took special care taking us around the reefs and pointing out all the beautiful fish. They also served a fabulous barbecue lunch. Great way to spend a day.

Love the snorkling at this place and the tour guides where great. The cookout on the beach was fabulous and plentiful

Liked healthy coral. Saw more fish than any other snorkel trip. Saw some of the largest lobster i've ever seen. Park rangers were very informative.

Before we did SCUBA, our first full day in Belize we went out for a half day snorkeling at Laughing Bird Caye. We ate lunch on the caye and walked around it. It was quite beautiful! Good snorkeling right of the island as well.
