The museum is small and modest, but it is well researched and proudly managed. We had a guided tour with a very knowledgeable and interesting lady. Management seems to be very committed to the preservation and valorization of the Garifuna history and culture.

I really enjoyed this museum and although it's small I thought they packed a lot of interesting things into it. The woman who led the tour was great and very helpful. She also gave me some great tips about where to experience the culture in the town (Go to Wadani Shed to experience live drumming, singing and dancing - what... More

I normally don't like going through a museum with a guide, but she was excellent and really added to all the displays. We learned a lot and really enjoyed it.

This is small museum worth a stop if in area. Some artifacts, nothing incredible. Lots of photos. Some drums, was hoping for older specimens.

I love it when culture is preserved here in Belize. The Garifuna people in this country have a wonderful heritage, rich in tradition. Dangriga and area have a lot of Garifuna people residing in the area, and they have done a wonderful job in sharing this beautiful culture at the museum. Very informative and espressive!

$10 entry to this small museum felt quite reasonable especially when you consider it is going to a good cause. The Garifuna people have quite the history, and an intriguingly complicated language, (at least to me)! The museum itself is fairly small and contains some photographs and mostly writing. Indeed I had found a lot of the information in the... More

Although small and simple, it was an essential stop for us for an overview on the Garinagu people. It contains historical maps and photos, with a detailed timeline chart, and traditional utensils used in the villages. Some people told us we can walk, but it was a bit out of town and we didn't regret the Bz$5 taxi ride.

The museum is small, but the caretaker has a wealth of knowledge that he is more than happy to share!

It was great learning about the history of the Garifuna in Belize! Some of the information was hard to read due wear and tear over time.
